Very buggy firmware
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned after a day. Updated to latest firmware to enable dual gig WAN. While that worked, found out it wouldn't pass IPv6 traffic when enabled, only IPv4. Contacted support, went thru standard reboot, reset to defaults, etc, didn't help. Router also had issues with passing RTSP traffic over 2.4Ghz from wifi cameras. 5Ghz cameras worked fine. No amount of tweaking would let the traffic thru. Pulled it out, put back in X10/R9000, and IPv6 traffic works as well as all cameras. Code on this router is very buggy. Maybe in another year, or if DDWRT becomes available for it, but not now. No speed improvement over X10 / R9000. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I.

good router
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router, nice range. 5 band is quite fast but the 2.4 isn't that fast for me. App is also looks nice. The Design of this router looks like something out of star wars so another plus.

Great speed, terrible app and limited features
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router lacks basic controls - ie... setting schedules, limits, etc... and is really limited compared to the ASUS that I had. I debated returnng it because it is so poor.

Won’t maintain speeds
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great until another “new” firmware cuts speeds in half! Not sure what quality assurance testing they do, but this happens about every third firmware release. I work with tech support for about a week and they release a hotfix which works until the next firmware breaks it again. So tired of this.. after 10 years of Netgear, I’m done... switching to Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 and see if that is any better.

Constant Reboots/Crashes
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started out great, had solid range and performed fantastic. One day later I get latency spikes and then the router crashes, and ever does so about every 3-5 hours. After doing research it seems this is a common issue with this model. Will try the RAX200 and see if it lasts. Another note for this unit, it doesn’t support full 160mhz, rather it uses a 80+80 configuration, which also reduces it down to a 4x4 band.

Less Coverage And Speed
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to replace a few year old google mesh system. Coverage in my modest size home was worse (to be somewhat expected) but the 40% reduce in speed was the deal breaker. Returned for a refund.

Good router plagued by poor range
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great router, however the range isn’t as good as our old router. Our wireless lights outside will no longer get connection with this router, so we will be returning it.

Expensive Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is okay. I thought it would be faster, but I don't really see a HUGE difference. I do have a household of 7 and that might be it, but I was also told that it could handle all of us on Wifi, streaming & gaming.

JUNK
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do yourself a favor. DO NOT buy this. Nothing but problems, constant random rebooting. Called netgear support multiple times and problem never really resolved. Finally netgear sent a replacement.....and while waiting for the new unit the original one will not let our streaming TV service work. Out of sheer frushtration I contacted my ISP / Cable provider and got a WiFi router through them and like magic my streaming and internet works perfectly. $5 a month through my cable company is a small price to pay for peace of mind and reliable Wi-Fi connection. And if anything goes wrong, they fix it. And looking online this isn't a unique problem with this product. Same problem dating back to 2018 on multiple entries in chat rooms. Very surprising that the Best Buy tech recommended this device with all the problems logged with it in the past.

Absolute junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Netgear for over a decade now. I was using orbi 2 pack. Worked excellent but sometimes it dropped connection for a fraction of a second which is annoying. Then used x4, no drop connection, firmed connection but little less coverage thank orbi 2 pack. So decided to give this one a try - this is absolutely a junk and Netgear ruining their business. 500 dollars router gives you so much of headache - very disappointing. Returning it. It gives less speed than my x4 and frequent connection drops.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I had to think twice about buying it due to e price. So I took the gamble and bought it. As of now, I don’t regret a single penny spent on it. Very good signal and strong.
