Best router I’ve used so far. It works really well if you place it in the middle of the home.

Working great with very good speeds. I thought the range was going to be better but still does a great job.

The Real deal! Was only getting like 30 mbps upstairs in our bedroom using the factory modem. Now in the same room I’m getting a 650mbps upload and 769mbps download!

As someone that works in IT daily, I expected something in this price range to be a lot more feature packed, and not require a 3rd party subscription to utilize the network security function of the router. The wifi coverage is fantastic and the speeds are exceptional, however, false DDOS attacks are the plague of this things existence and Netgear should definitely be looking into doing a firmware update on their routers. My girlfriend does online sales/marketing, which means a lot of social media use. Unfortunately, this router sees a considerable amount of network transactions with facebook(and other large datacenters) as a DOS attack and it brings the router to its knees momentarily, often at the least convenient times. I cant recommend this router in good will due to those issues. If a firmware update is released that resolves said issue, and security features would become free, I'd recommend this router, as well as comparable Netgear routers over and over. Until then, there are considerably cheaper options and comparably priced mesh systems that will likely perform better for your average wifi user.

I was blown away by the speed increase from my R7000 Nighthawk to this one. The connection is far more stable than my last router and I had it for 7 years. Amazing upgrade!

Needed to maximize the internet speed from my internet provider and this product took the download speed from 500mbs to almost a 1000mbs

After getting Fiber optic over a year ago from a local company which came with an included eero pro setup we needed more ethernet ports for smart home stuff as well computers and this worked very well. It was a little annoying to get some devices to connect to it until I changed a few settings on the router to show as 1 network. The nighthawk app is very useful, but the Eero pro app is much better. it also nags you to subscribe to parental controls and Bitdefender. I don't need either of those things and I wish it would stop reminding me. Overall, it is a solid device that provides pretty good Wi-Fi for a 1800 sq ft single level house.

So far I’m very pleased with this product. I love the ability to have a VPN at home. I love the security of this system. Now if only our internet provider would catch up.
