Originally bought a Asus ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 and that router was horrible, so returned it and got this Netgear and this is 1000x times better. The interface for the Asus looked like it was designed in the 90s by a pre-teen obsessed with Quake. The Netgear interface and app just have a much more polished and intuitive interface to set up things. Speeds on the Netgear are much faster than the Asus and the range is also better on the Netgear.

Expect Constant Nagging to Purchase Upsell Extra

Router was easy to set up. The only issue I have is with the software which has a trial for extra protection and is quite irritating with popups and emails reminding that the trial period is ending and wanting you to purchase this "extra protection". I paid in the $200 range for this wifi router. With the price I paid for this router, one would think everything would come with it. It has been a long time since I purchased a NetGear router and most likely, I will think again before purchasing another one when this one dies. I purchased this one since it had Wifi 6 and the other brands mostly had older versions. The only reason I was in the market for a wifi router was my previous router died unexpectedly after several years and I needed one for wifi internet and tvs. NetGear has left a bad taste for their product for me because of this aggravating upsell. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the wifi router is working and was easy to set up. Otherwise the rating would be a "1 star" because of the constant nagging to purchase the "additional protection" of the software. I'm an adult and computer savvy. Never will I give NetGear $200 to constantly nag at me!

This router is one of the finest I've ever owned. Set up was easy, loaded with features and blazingly fast. Strong signals throughout the house despite the many rooms and concrete structure. Great app integration for your phone for ease of control and finally a router I can be thankful for. Thank you NETGEAR.

I was looking for a router with link aggregation support and wifi 6 capable, so I was trying to get the Asus AX6000, but it was always sold out, finally saw this one at Best Buy, did a little research and it does have link aggregation port available and I also found out that it is a newer release by Netgear and price is just a tad more than the Asus, but do have more excellent features like wifi 6 8 stream and the 1st 5G band with 1.2 ghz speed, and the 2nd at 4.8 Ghz just to mention a few comparison, this replaced a Linksys EA9500 also a tri band router, some of the improvement I am getting is that there is no change in the wifi speed even behind the third wall of my place, with the Linksys when I get behind the second wall which is my living room the wifi speed drops 20% down, and about 50% drop behind the third wall which is the kitchen, and when I stream movies at 1080 from my NAS the buffering is non existent, with the Linksys, it buffers even with 480p movies, so I am really happy with this buy, the setup is very easy, I do not use the Netgear app, I like doing manual setups in the interface… although the interface is too simplistic, maybe they will put a little more like the DD WRT interface, someday maybe… but all in all I would really recommend it, now I looking forward the Wifi 6E router, I haven’t tested the link aggregation for copying files over the lan so cannot comment on that yet.

Replaced my router with the same one because of a lightning strike that blew up the other one through a surge protector, and because it is great. I have it on one side of my house attached to the cable modem. It goes great all the way to the other side of the house! Pricey but hasn't let me down yet.

Good performance and easy to set up. Great bang-for-your-buck. The Nighthawk can automatically choose between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz network types for best performance for the device. That means you don't have to set up credentials for 2 separate network types and your device still gets the best performance automatically.

4.5 stars since I haven't had it long enough to give a 5 star rating, but it's very close. The router is sitting on a shelf, near an outside wall, on one end of the house, on the middle floor, of a 3 story house, that is 40 feet long by 30 feet wide. Long winded sentence but wanted to give a good idea of location. We have an outdoor Nest Cam almost as far away from the router as it can be and since installing the router it has not gone offline once. My wife has a painting studio in the basement on the complete opposite side of the house from the router. The old router would not allow her to watch videos on her iPad without signal loss interrupting the video. There has been no signal loss with this router. We have 5 UHD TV's, multiple computers and tablets, gaming consoles, cell phones, etc., and have not one had any connectivity issues. We are very happy with this router and hope it lasts.

I bought this because the provided one I got from my ISP just wasn’t cutting it. I stream on twitch and my old one kept cutting out every few minutes. After this and a netgear modem, I haven’t had any issues. It is definitely worth the price to have consistent and reliable internet. The mobile app makes it easy to control the router and set it up.

I finally jumped on the WI-FI 6 band wagon and replaced an aging Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-band router with this NightHawk AX6600 Tri-band router and I couldn’t be happier. Over the years, Netgear has had issues with software updates on their older routers, but with the new Nighthawk AX series, these routers have enough memory and processing power to perform well and support more devices than the previous Nighthawk AC series. I currently have 45 devices throughout the house connected to the router and I have not noticed any issues with dropping connections or lagging while streaming TV shows or with the guys playing video games. This was well worth the upgrade.

With more wireless and IoT devices being added to my home, I needed an upgraded router to handle the load, but also provided more coverage at home. This Netgear RAX70 so far is working out great. My older R7000P is now being used as a wireless bridge for a PC that needs the extra wifi signal. This router is not cheap, but I was able to get it during a sale, which i recommend.
