Solid if not remarkable performer with great looks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than the sifi looks, this is a wonderful AP. Interface is based on a mobile app with anywhere access option, and is a fairly straightforward if not simplistic interface. Range appears slightly better than my prior Linksys and links are held across a fairly large home. Transfer rates are more than acceptable but not remarkably better than other APs i have used (things hopefully get better when all devices support AX). For a minor issue, a call to Netgear support was successful with little wait time, a knowledgeable rep and a quick resolution. Small negatives include: status lights are nearly impossible to see as they are in the back of the unit on a downward slopping panel and the footprint is rather large on a shelf compared to other units I have used.

Best Router Available
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best router I have ever owned. Super fast, great app for settings, and a breeze to set up. Love the look of it and the status lights are on the back so no annoying blinking if it is in your bedroom.

Imperial shuttle and the Empires fees
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks ok to me.. minus the fact it’s impossible to hide, considering it has to be in a central location in my home to provide proper broadcasting. So minus 1 for the wifey despising its “aesthetics” being unsatisfactory. Minus 2 for having to pay for two separate subscriptions for have what I believe to be standard features on a router. I.E.: Security & Parental controls. As if my 320 bucks wasn’t enough for this Star Wars/Batman router. As you can see I’m fairly salty about this. 3rd party firmware: tomato or dd-wrt is looking very plausible in the next 14 days for my needs. So, back to the story, deducted 3 stars so far. Functionality is decent only required 2 reboots in the last two weeks nothing deducted. Range is acceptable as well. Long story short. I can forgive the first star for looks, after all isn’t it what’s on the inside that counts?? As for the two separate charges for security and parental controls. That’s an unforgivable curse. You’ve attempted to cast the cruciatus curse AKA Crucio on my bank account. These curses were outlawed and deemed unforgivable in 1717. This is madness! A knee jerk reaction was to cast Avada Kedavra on the router for this forsaken set of monthly charges. Alas, I would be no better than those attempting to torture my bank account. My plan of action at this point is to either return it or flash a new firmware on a brand new 300+ dollar router that should’ve provided what I needed from the start. So, yeah. Le boo. Subtract another 2 stars because I’m saddened by this unfortunate turn of events. This Roswell hasn’t ended well. 6/10 is my final answer, locking it in, and no I’m not phoning a friend or asking the audience. Why have you forsaken me!!!!!!!! (V) (;,,;) (V) woop, woop, woop.

Lightning fast WIFI.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a happy camper, this router is fast and handling 45 devices in my home with lightning speed. I have 4 echo shows with ring doorbell and 2 security spot light cameras with smart devices on my WiFi. Speed test on average 390Mbps with my ISP provider caping at 400. Changing soon to AT&T fiber with 1G so hope to see faster download times. Well worth the money.

I have the need, the need for speed.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got stuck in a pit where my previous router was dying so slowly I hardly recognized the slowing internet speeds. And so when I did finally notice, I purchased this router as a replacement. This router is pretty powerful and is ideal for home streaming and gaming on a multitude of devices connected simultaneously. I have measured the signal strength throughout my home, which is around 2600 sq.ft. and I was unable to find any dead zones, which is excellent. This may be overkill if you do not have many devices or don't require the extensive features this router provides, but it certainly is a great piece of hardware. It is expensive, but IMHO, it's worth it.
