I'm using it as an access point in another part of the house, I wish I had bought two of these, but the Nighthawk I have upstairs on the other side of the house has a modem built-in, they're both excellent, and the range is incredible, But this one, is a specially cool, just the way it looks, looks like Kylo Rens spaceship in Star Wars, lol it's solid as a rock and I haven't had a single problem with it and like I said the range is incredible. Highly highly recommend!!

After two generations of Google wifi, we are so glad we went with this. Still going strong, works flawlessly. App is great. My truck picks up the signal 75 yards away from the house!

I bought this unit to replace an an old Apple Airport. So far so good. I was impressed with the ease of set-up and the overall range of this device. I probably should have done this upgrade years ago.

The router is very fast. No buffering issues with graphics intense games, applications. It was also the easiest setup I have ever had with a new router.

Replaced an older 3pack of Google Pods with this router in my rambler style home. Excellent Coverage everywhere in my home and Much faster. No more placing pods around the house. Well worth the price in my opinion.

    Great Upgrade to the AC4000

Had an AC4000 for years, and had to upgrade due to the old router going out. Setup for this new router only took about five minutes, with ten minutes to have it up and running with all devices connected right out of the box. The AXE7800 works really well with the online portal, and has seamless updates made on the user end. I’m usually opposed to using phone apps to control parts of my home, but the Netgear app in conjunction with this the AXE7800 model works great. The UI is highly intuitive and very easy to use. Overall very happy with this router.

Replaced Xfinity $14/mon rental modem/router with Netgear CM2050V cable modem and RAXE300 wifi router. No amount of telephone support could get the Xfinity rental equipment to work. Only telephone worked. All internet access had stopped. Now with Netegear everything works. Also, I have been paying $20/mon for years for 600mbs downlaod. Opensignal app never measured more than 250mbs. I now get 700+mbs downloads and 25+mbs uploads! Also, all my devices and apps are working. Almost nothing was workinbg with the Xfinity rental equipment. Setup of this rounter and a Netgear extender was seamless with the Nighthawk app on my iPhome. There is a 200+ page pdf user manual downloaded to my iPad. There should be much to play with in there.

    Fast, Strong, Annoying Software

This is a fantastic router. I picked it up because I have gigabit internet, and needed a router that had at least a 2.5gbps ethernet port on it. I can get more than a full gigabit per second worth of internet in actual speed tests, where my older router (which was also wifi 6 but only had a 1gbps ethernet port) could only pull down ~900mbps. The one downside is that basically all the software it comes with is a subscription model, and the Nighthawk app that it comes with for managing the router constantly nags you to subscribe to their several apps that you absolutely don't need. Buy this router, but do not waste your money on their terrible software subscriptions.

Al though it is a bit big and looks like a stealth drone, it is working great. It definitely fixed my low signal issues around my house. And it was fairly easy to setup.
