Simple to install

Wanted separate 2.4 & 5 bands. The install directions were easy to follow andt it recognized existing devices automatically. Did not have to add them individually. Very happy with it's performance so far.

It tripled our normal WiFi speeds we had through our standard provider issued modem. Install was easy. My only reason for the 4 star is the app. It’s not as intuitive as it should be. I am sure after some time it will be good.

Installation with old wireless printer impossible.

Until attempting to connect our HP wireless printer. Spent several hours with Netgear support attempting to connect. Finally called Netgear support and spent more than 3-1/2 hours on the phone with a technician, only to be told my problem needed to be elevated to the next level of support. Eventually, I gave up and ended up buying a new wireless printer… adding another $150 to the price.

We are sorry to hear that had a difficult experience while connected to your RS500. Nighthawk WiFi 7 router WiFi networks are encrypted with WPA2-PSK + WPA3-Personal encryption by default. This is because it is the best blend of compatibility and security available. However, some devices such as printers, smart devices (IoT), and older devices are not compatible with this level of encryption. For these devices to work, you must connect them to a network with a lower level of encryption. Very very nice

I considered a mesh system but I wanted one single router. This was the one. And it’s future proof with WiFi 7.

This has an easy setup, and we havent lost the internet once. I don't need any extenders, I can go outside the house and still have good signal. Very Very happy!!!

Great sped up home network

Now is much more robust and more secure using the built in Netgear Armor security package.
