Fast and Compact

Setup is simple—you can use the Nighthawk app or a web browser, whichever you prefer. It’s perfect for an apartment or small home, and its compact size makes it less obtrusive than many other WiFi 7 routers. It blends in nicely in a home office or living space. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you're still using an older WiFi standard.

Wifi Good, Setup required lots of extra work

The setup was not smooth, The Netgear app said the router was not supported (despite it being new) and told us to download the "Orbi" app. Same result. Had to connect laptop to wired connection and point browser at 192.168.1.1 to setup manually. Amazing that even today, setting up these consumer devices is such a pain.

Nighthawk WiFi 7 router WiFi networks are encrypted with WPA2-PSK + WPA3-Personal encryption by default. This is because it is the best blend of compatibility and security available. However, some devices such as printers, smart devices (IoT), and older devices are not compatible with this level of encryption.
