    Made annoying high pitch noise

The one I bought made a high pitch noise that was very annoying in a quiet room. I would guess it was a built in fan for cooling. The unit was larger than I expected and felt hotter than other routers I've had. I will definitely look for something that won't be making any noise next router I buy.

    DST adapter/extender useless.

Much better ways to spend a 180$ in the router world. The DST can barely connect from 20 ft away. It seems to only be able to extend the main network and not be able to choose to extend the guest network if you do get it connected. Much better off doing a little more research buying a much better router and then just buying any wireless AP/extender that will allow you/it to set up the way it should be done. And the geek squad support is about useless. Dealt with them and got the run around from multiple associates. Said they were calling right back and then never called backed and 2 hours later a different associate called asking about assisting me... I had already left. Said the previous employee was going for her "masters". Yet couldn't even complete a phone call...Really makes you wonder... So the product and support failed. DO NOT BUY. Do your research spend a little more or a little less and you can still get a newer, more reliable, more secure router. Good luck and God bless.
