I was looking for a router that would extend the WIFI distance at my house. Now I have WIFI connection in my backyard. Was very to set up.

I purchased this router in a package with a WIFI extender and am very pleased with the performance overall. One important note regarding a requirement that I didn't catch at first (and caused me some heartache until I chatted with a Geek) - the extender must be plugged directly into a wall socket - no extension cords, power strips, etc. - or it won't function. This made the initial installation process a bit frustrating. The router installed quickly, and the Netgear Genie admin software works well, but if you have the extender, please be sure to read the instructions carefully!

We have slow internet, out in the country and wanted to maximize our speed. Easy set up and got DST Adapter to boost rooms far from the router. I'd buy it again!

The product has worked very well with the help of the Geek Squad tech rep. Part of the reason I chose this model is that it came with included tech help at no cost.. With their help it all went very smoothly and the product had performed without issue since it's initial installation.

I purchased this after testing out a few other high end home routers. This one is by far the best! The router alone has great coverage but after adding the DST adapter, wow! Full bars of Wi-Fi anywhere in house (multi level). My biggest issue was having to have the router upstairs in the office while having a PS4 and an AppleTV downstairs on the other side of the house. Now with the DST adapter, which has powerline technology, I can hardwire a switch downstairs and hardwire my devices for a solid connection that is necessary when playing online games. I highly recommend this to anyone.

My router at home went out and this one was recommended by the salesman at Best Buy. It was easy to set up and gives us better coverage throghout the house.

Geek Squad came to my house which is large and has plaster walls and 2 floors. One representative took readings throughout the house where internet was required and he found fluctuating broad band at each point. After the technician arrived a second time, (the first trip was for TV speaker systems) he double checked the measurements and then installed NETGEAR - Nighthawk DST AC1900 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router with DST Adapter - Black. I am pleases for the first time in years. I can't say thanks enough for the knowledgeable store staff as well as the Geek Squad.

This was my second router I bought, took the first one back. Excellent range and ease of set up were the main reasons I purchased this one.

Setup was quick and easy. This router replaced an old N600 and is smoking fast!

The blue light is on but nothing logs in to wifi. The base is strong enough to work upstairs so the extension unit isn't absolutely needed. It still kind of bothers me I paid for an extender that only works as a night light.

The Netgear Router lives up to my expectation and improved my network connectivity both for personal and office use as I need my VPN connection for work to be solid. The DST adapter worked really well and gives a definite boost to our home wifi connectivity.

System seems to be working decent, but not great. I had the Geek Squad install the hook-up (had a special running for this item). He was very good, knew his stuff and professional. Overall I can't really tell a huge difference in speed. Next call will be with AT&T to see what's up

This is the 4th router that I have owned. The first three were Linksys brand, and I was disappointed with each one. The issues? Too many to name here. On the recommendation of a Best Buy employee, I switched to Netgear. Now I no longer think that routers are inherently evil. The setup was a breeze, and I've had perfect whole house WiFi since. The DST adapter works perfectly ensuring that my entire basement is covered. I highly recommend this Netgear router!

We live in an older apartment building. It seems the walls LOVE to kill WiFi. The Netgear Nighthhawk with the DST extension is the answer. We now have a much stronger and more dependable WiFi signal through the house. It has pumpted up to 135 Mbps to my phone wirelessly too. NICE! The DST is a bit large - pre plan with free power plugs as this MUST be directly plugged into a wall outlet - it will NOT work with a surge protector. Should we ever move into a larger house I can simply add more DST boxes too. That's a nice future proof design there folks!

I am very satisfied with the router's functionality, but was not aware before buying that it was not a modem/router. One would think a $250 router would be. Other than that the DST extends the connection very well. Not recommended for small, story houses as it is not needed.

The router is huge. My computers have had some connectivity issues since I got it. Over all it seems like a good router. It came with geek squad tech support.

Although the geek squad installation turned out to be disappointing, and the installation was too complicated for me, I had the router installed by a local technician. It has proven to be a vast improvement for our home. Dead spots have disappeared.

This router serves my whole house I bought the extender but it's not really needed because it covers everything and I have a 5000sq ft house

It operates better than expected. We use it our computers in every room. Before we were not able to do that because our router was not strong enough.

This router is very easy to set up. It provides all the speed I need now and expect to need for a long time. I am very happy with this purchase.
