Setting up was the hardest part. This is a fantastic router. I immediately noticed a big difference in speed. And the dead zone no longer exists.

Bought this to replace existing router. Setup was easy and adapter greatly increased speed in areas away from base. Very pleased with purchase.

Geek squad recommended this router and it has been fantastic. I wish they would have informed us to wait one week though as it went on sale for 50 dollars off right after our purchase.

Hold on to your "personal support garment." This system will knock you out of it. It is easy to install, reliable, and super fast! I went from a wi-fi that did not reach outer bedrooms to a "boomer" signal out to the garage and back yard.

Great router with an easy setup, if you don't want to go through configuring all of the features. The NetGear Genie is a bit lacking, as is the web enabled interface. Frankly, I expected more from a $250 router. In addition, both NetGear and/or Best Buy should do a better job of describing the DST Adaptor. It's less like an access point out range extender, and more like a virtual second router. You have to connect to one or the other with no seamless handoff when you switch rooms and move into the deadspot where the DST has better signal strength. This was highly disappointing.

I am a network/wireless engineer and have been looking for a wireless router that is of decent quality. I am use to using very expensive Cisco equipment at work that works great but no one can aford that at home. I tried other routers at Best Buy; Apple, Asus, and some cheaper alternatives. The Netgear router in conjunction with the remote bridges do a great job of propagating the signal throughout both upstairs and down and even in the backyard so that I can play my AirPlay music anywhere in the house and yard. Good Job Netgear!

I bought this to fix some weak signals and dead spots. Boy did it! The best part, I can expand further if needed. But, I don't need to. The base station is strong enough that all but the far end of the upper floor of my house was covered. With the EXT in that area, the whole house has great coverage. Set-up was fairly easy. You have to spend some time to do it right, but if you're not taking time to set up a secure router and wifi, you don't have any business trying to DIY your internet anyway. This is a definite keeper.

The dst adapter made this perfect for my house. Very fast on the 5g signal. With xfinity I’m downloading at 120mbps all day

Highly recommend this product. It eliminated all my wifi "dead spot" problems and made it my wifi much faster.

My previous router didn't transfer as fast and my xbox would get bad signal. I have not had any issues since installing this router. There is an app also that can be downloaded and allows me to easily adjust the router settings.

I bought this because the router and extender that I bought simply did not support Xbox live service. The linksys EA6400 and RE6500 had issues and I asked the Best Buy customer service rep what the best router would be for gaming and streaming media. He pointed me to the Blackhawk DST and so far I have been very happy with the performance. I may need to move the router more centrally in the house but the router is on one side of house and DST extender is about 50 feet away and still works okay. Not the best but okay.

Very easy to set up, provides very good coverage and with the included extender you will not have problems getting a good signal

It is sleek, easy to set up, works just like they said it would. We have fiber optic lines into the house and it works well.

Provides excellent coverage throughout my 2800 sq ft home. Speeds are very good...200mb download wifi via fioptics.

I really did not think this product would work , but way to go netgear one of the best things I have ever purchased .

I have 100mb service so I switched to this router to handle the speed. I have several computers wired and numerous devices wirelessly connected. This is the 7300 model so I put 5 extenders in the system in a large house. I now have wireless in entire house with strong signal. I put them in and update each one at a time. IF it wouldn't update I brought it to an outlet close to the router and it updated. Then I moved it to the outlet (plug) I wanted it at and that worked !!!!

This router does an awesome job extending the wifi throughout all my house. It is very simple to set up just plug and play.
