I was using the wireless router/modem combo that Time Warner rents for 10 a month. I was constantly resetting it and the speed wasn't all that considering I had the highest teir of service. I bought a new modem and got this router and am now saving the 10 per month rental fee. The setup is also much faster and more reliable than before. I've only reset once in two or three months. I'm very happy.

only thing I don't like is the small unit must be on same electrical circuit as the main modem. my detached garage is on a separate breaker box. So it wouldn't work to cover the garage.

I have had a horrible time trying to find a Wireless router for my home network. I had bought 4 different routers before this one and they all were terribly slow and made my connections drop. Then I bought this Router and all of my network issues went away and have had no issues at all. I highly recommend this router.

I used this in my summer house. My old router was located on the second floor because of the layout of the house it was impossible to get a strong wifi signal on the first floor. Well I changed the router to the Netgear - Nighthawk Dst Ac1900 and I put the extender in the corner of my first floor and not only do I get wifi thru the whole house I also get it outside on my deck. I love this router

Easy to install this router. Comes with 1 extender. Covers our 1800 sq.ft.home.

My data transfer speed was down with the AC1200 when 10+ devices were connected to my wi-fi. Since I've upgraded, my devices can achieve the 50 Mbps download rate.

This unit is very fast and very easy to set up. I had it up and running in 10 min

Setting up the router in terms of connections was easy. The tricky part was accessing the web and getting the signal out of the router. The brochure was not helpful. I did a chat with the Geek Squad initially and that went to the phone. They talked me through it just fine. You need a computer to set it up -- a phone or tablet won't work.

Easy to install fast and allows multiple electronics to be used at the same time

The adage you "can't have everything" certainly applies to the Nighthawk. Easy to set up and much better in terms of transmission throughout the house. Definitely notice connection speeds have increased. Would have given this device a 5 except the design is just god awful and hiding it from view is hard to do without impacting its functionality. For those who don't care about aesthetics this device works great.

Would have given it a 5 but the power line DST cuts out to my old Vista PC when there are too many lights turned on or a microwave is running or a electric space heater is on.

The router performs great! The DST, not so much. My phone could get great coverage with the router alone and my laptop couldn't. That is why I got the DST combo. The DST should have been able to boost the signal for my laptop. It didn't, the DST had as bad signal as my laptop. Still all while my phone had a great signal. I ended up buying a USB external WiFi adapter for my laptop and threw the DST a box.

Got this on sale, so far so good. Strong signal and easy to set up.

My wife and I had our router die on us and we needed a replacement, and fast. We have always gone with cheaper models, but decided to get the "big boy" this time. It's been fantastic. We have over 10 devices hooked up to it, and it hasn't dropped once. I highly recommend this unit! The separate wifi booster is a nice little bonus as well! You won't be disappointed with this!

I purchased this at the recommendation of the cable installation technician. He suggested it because of the included range-extender for the large house. However, the router by itself was quite sufficient to reach all corners (upstairs and basement) of the house without the extender. I also purchased this on sale, so I felt like it was a great buy.

I was having problems with my wifi i bout three different routors asus and linksys they were bad the can not handle interference with other wifi channels finally i bought this router it did the right job and DST is very useful and realy solve the issue the signal strength is good and the modulation steady the app software is very easy to work with a do too many think
