had numerous problems with the model below without support ... the 5g was not working on r7000 ---- returned 3 of these units to best buy... so paid the extra 50 dollars for the R7300 with extender and hook up support... what do u know... works right out of the box and didn't need the support simply amazing that the extra 50 pays for something that works right out of the box...

I got the one with the extender bc my current router won't reach across my house. I set this one up and wanted to find dead spots before placing the extender but haven't found a place it is needed (two story 2,800sqft house) We have 3 smart tvs and 6 wifi devices with 5 people using these simultaneously and haven't had any issues with speed, etc. love it. Very happy

Very Easy set-up, very powerful signal everywhere including outside in the yard, my yard is about 1 acre. I did make one call to the Geek Squad because 1 year tech support is supposedly included and they were absolutely no help. What they wanted to do was sign me up for a $99 in house install. I got my question answered on the Netgear web site.

I got this after my Apple AirPort Extreme stopped working reliably due to a Cox Cable update that made it keep dropping signal multiple times per day. This router is amazing, it came with a wi-fi extender, was easy to set up, has an app, and the signal is always strong and solid. Highly recommend it!

This increased my signal tremendously. Great speeds and no dead zones.

Had to replace my old router asap (power surge). This was easy to pop out of the box, plug in, and run software.

I give this three stars cause it's designed is not that good it's capable of more interference because it's trying to pass thrue power throughout the house. It's better just to have a ac1750 instead cause it's capable off the same thing except. Withe out dst! I got a cat 6. It's way better nothing is better it's a wire for one thing straight to my Xbox all the way across the house and in the basement.

You can tell the difference. I purchase this device as a upgrade to help the process of streaming my movies. It was a great investment.

Excellent choice satisfy connectivity through out my home for wireless .

At first, it appeared to be a complicated set-up but decided to forge ahead knowing support was a phone call away. Followed the directions & was done in under 15 minutes. With multiple users in the household, appears to be some improvement in speed & access but not completely convinced that it solved all our problems. Still that feeling we have provider issues. Anyway, glad we bought it.

I love the range of Nighthawk. We are covered anywhere in the house and even halfway to our back fence... no problem there. I am, however, very disappointed in the lack of useful Parental Controls put in place by NETGEAR. You would think they would get this right by now, but it is virtually useless. You cannot limit specific devices on the network, or set usage time frames... this is essential to put in place with younger children in the home with access to the internet. NETGEAR, WISE UP and get with it!!! This is a huge letdown for the price paid!
