Great coverage , better streaming than before ! highly recommend !

The Nighthawk was purchased to replace my newly purchased Orbi. Unbeknownst to me the Orbi wasn't compatible with our wireless security system (although Best Buy clerk said it was). At this point I was really frustrated so what a nice evening it was when the Nighthawk setup easy peasy. It's done a great job and fulfills all of our wireless needs.

This was the first new router that I had gotten in a while and was looking for something that could handle the ever growing needs of my house Wi-Fi usage. This router achieved that with ease plus is was so easy to set-up I pretty much sat back and let it do its thing. It configured the DST module without me having to do anything and made the whole process easy.

So far the base unit has great coverage in my 1800 SF house. I thought the DST would act as a repeater, but this is not the case, hence the 4 stars. The DST actually provides 2 separate access points. Those at Geek Squad gave differing opinions, but since I get great coverage, I don't really need it. I bought it on sale, same as the R7000 price, so the DST was essentially free anyway.

This was recommended by a friend and am quite pleased that I can send text messages from every room of my house now. Don't have to go outside to send pictures.

Need an upgrade to your lagging WIFI at home or the office? This is your answer without spending top dollar for a commercial setup and support.

Overall, I'm satisfied with this router. My only complaint is that I *thought* this was compatible with other firmware's like DDWRT or OpenWRT. Unfortunately, this model is not. Also, if you plan to use the dead spot eliminator as advertised, you can't connect either to a UPS. However, I was able to set the DST up manually. Other than that, this router has operated flawlessly.

Ideal router for service over an extended range, amplifies speed.

Had buffering issues and there are a few of use using WiFi at home. Move up to this Nighthawk and problem solved.

I now can watch uninterrupted sreaming and my inernet connection is light years faster than the modem and router supplied by my cable company.

This is exactly what it says it is A wi-fi router, you still have to have a modem

Quite an improvement over the Bellini Router it replaces. Netgear Genie allows me to keep track of the whole network easily.

We have the primary modem as well as a booster because of our ranch style house. The booster brings internet service to an area of the house that was always iffy before and the primary Netgear is much faster than what we had before. This is to say that it's as fast as anything I could have hoped for. I'm very pleased with the product.
