As I said this is working great though I must admit I haven't figured out how to best utilize it. I'm pretty sure I'm only using the 2.4 ghz but in time I will figure out what device I have that can use the 5 ghz as well. The signal strength seems really good especially with the DST for my computer up stairs. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Now house has complete wifi coverage which it did not have before with another router

This is the perfect router for speed, extending your WiFi in dead spots. I live in a two story and the way the house was built the router was up stairs in the farthest room. I had troubles in the bedroom on the first for farthest from the router. The extender has resolved that problem. No more issues, highly recommended to anyone.

I bought this item because our home wireless signal from Comcast was very slow and weak. It has helped immensely. I found that I didn't need the repeater as the signal strength had improved enough to cover the areas that had been very weak before. Installation was pretty straightforward. I did not need to use the Geek Squad, although that option is included.

Bought this router, to extend the reach of my Wi-Fi signal, beyond the room where it is installed. I wanted to get a stronger and more consistent signal, to work on my tablet, and watch TV. The separate adapter does increase the strength of the signal, but I did have to try several different electric outlets, before I found the best location.

Installs easily, price is in line with like products

Disappointed it has to be plugged in directly into outlet to work properly. But it does work fine.

Fast speed for multiple items running at same time east set up

I didn't realize how slow my old router was until I got this. The speeds are awesome and no complaints from visiting friends.

This is my fourth wireless router and by far the best.

Bought this because our boys were constantly stomping upstairs in anger to reset router when their Xbox Live kicked them out. Now we see them when they need to eat, since they have their own bathroom. Life is calm again. Excellent product and we had Geek Squad included to help set up!! Super easy to set up and use.

I´m giving it 4 out of 5 simply because I have not used the DST adapter so I don't know how well it performs. The router however is beast! handles my smart TV´s 4k, xbox one online gaming and everyone´s cellphone usage like a champ. Got it when it was on sale so definitely happy with my purchase. So far have not encountered any issues with it.

Easy to use and install. Good coverage around house

My Smart TV on the other side of the house,only worked intermittently with my old router, getting 1-2 bars. With the Netgear Nighthawk it works perfectly, I get 5 bars with the extender, 3-4 bars with out it. No more buffering or cutting out of the signal.

Easy set up, works great. The dead spot terminator really works!

This is a great router if you need one of this caliber. We recently signed up for fiber optic ethernet with speeds of one gigabyte per second. If you have similarly fast internet I can't recommend a better router. However, this is overkill for your average cable or DSL internet. The range extender is a nice touch too.

My house is a ranch style and brick, so it's been difficult finding a router that would reach from one end to the other. This one has accomplished that feat! The router with the extender was the exact same price as the one without and man I'm glad I got this one! I haven't had any issues at all with the signal dropping.

We have an over abundance of electronics in our house, we needed a router than could handle the high demand of usage required. The nighthawk does that and more. The only place that we can put the router is in the basement and it does a great job getting a strong signal throughout the house including the upstairs.

Want to Netflix and chill or play computer games, this router is for you. Very easy to set up and use. It has awesome range too. It's one of 3-4 routers netgear makes and it's the least expensive but performs like the most expensive. Everyone in my home is happy with their device running through Netgear routers!
