Handles multiple users easily
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router replaced our Apple Airport Extreme that I thought was fairly fast. This one handles the traffic in our household much better with less slowdowns on the network. Pushing the bandwidth of a networked OTA tuner works great without slowing down the entire network, which our old router couldn't seem to handle.

Great wifi and the extender made it all the better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is super fast, if you have any devices that are connecting on ac you need this thing. The interface worked well and they have everything set up for you out of the box if you don't want to mess with any settings. Plus the extender made is so that far corner in my basement could finally get good wifi!

Great Wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seemed like it was time to replace my wifi router, it kept dropping in my downstairs. Read about this one and decided to give it a try. This was the easiest Wifi setup ever. Put the adapter downstairs and it all rocks. Strong signal in whole house of 3200 sq. ft. no drops. The mobile app does need some work.

This is one of the best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this router and then bought it for my parents once they switched to cable internet. It has been absolutely great and my dad is very happy with it's reliability over his old DSL Router. They live in a large ranch home and the router with the DST Adapter has covered both floors of the house front to back.

Good router but......
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this router to replace my Apple 5th Gen Airport. The Airport just has no QoS options at all but great wireless. I was looking for better firmware and just as good wireless. After looking for weeks I finally decided I would go with the Netgear since they had patched their recent compromise. My plan was to try the stock firmware and then go to DD-WRT if the stock didn't provide the level of detail I wanted. I choose the AC1900 line for the throughput without breaking the bank. Initial setup was simple. The stock firmware was OK but weak. Not a lot of QoS options except high medium low type stuff. I have no use for the wireless extender that came with it because the wireless signal is great. After I realized I wanted more for the firmware I found this this BB exclusive router (R7300) was NOT supported by DD-WRT. The normal AC1900 Netgear router is but there is something about the BB model where it is not compatible. I would still recommend the router even though I may sell it next week because it IS solid and works well. I am just looking for more QoS control and the ability to block from the router instead of relying on OpenDNS.

A great product so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had some bumps after the awesome geek squad setup because I have an old bluetooth printer. Therefore, I had to use the Netgear USB control feature. So far, the online interface is user friendly. The router and booster is giving excellent signals after the re-calibration. I have not fully utilized the router, but so far a great product.

Great boost in WiFi signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d been looking at Netgear Nighthawk series WiFi routers for several months and didn’t want to spend the extra money for a WiFi router when my service provider has one built in to the modem. I’d seen routers for $200+ and had heard they made a huge difference. In my previous house I’d still get decent signal with my built in WiFi. When my wife and I moved to a larger home we started having issues with poor WiFi signal and lost connections. I finally decided on bumping up to a nighthawk router and chose the DST with the included extender. The WiFi signal improved dramatically in my larger home (from 3300 sq ft to 5100 sq ft). I’ve had zero issues with the signal strength and connections never drop. I would have given this product 5 stars, but realized that the extender is not a seemless WiFi mesh, but a separate AP that needs to be manually switched to. It’s nice to know it’s there boosting the signal even more if we get any spots in the house that start dropping connections. I can just switch to the booster and should still be covered. Haven’t had the need yet.

Router works well, powerline not so much
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router is all that you could expect out of Netgear: It just works, and works well. Solid performance. Range is pretty good for a large house with lots of solid brick and stone walls. Could not ask for anything more, actually. The powerline range extender works ok. You need to find a plug that actually will communicate with the router, I had trouble finding one and had to put the range extender in a plug that was suboptimal for where I needed the signal. There are hicckups every month or two where I need to replug-in the extender for the signal to come back. The router does not need to be touched. After about 7 months, I just purchased a wired (wired with Cat6 network cable) access point and all the problems went away. You might have better luck with the powerline extender than I did. I'm not unhappy with the purchase because I wanted to try powerline out, and also the router works excellently, and that alone makes the purchase worthwhile to me.

Amazing Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in need of an upgrade from Linksys and found this. It covers my whole house with service and the extender is perfect to hardwire PS4 in the bedroom as well as boost signal to the backyard for my Ring products. I’ve had a friend buy this already based upon my experience.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unbelievably strong signal. Still connected even i am outside or in the basement two levels down. Still has one bar when I am on the city street. I live in a large apartment complex and city street is roughly one block away from my building. WiFi is my force. Happy Man with this purchase.

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I initially bought this router, I very pleased with how it performed. Powerful, reliable router.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to install/ I used this router to replace a Verizon FIOS Actiontec router. It was relatively simple..we had no Television to worry about. Hooked an external antenna tp it and powered wireless to a building next door. Stays on well - easy to understand GUI in it. Worth the bucks for sure/
