We bought this based on other reviews and it works great. Get much better speeds and linkages without use of the repeater even with 3 floors (basement) to block reception of Wi-Fi. But it works perfect.

This router solves two problems in one package. First it is an overall excellent router with vpn and offsite capability. and also includes a very reliable extender that works in sync with the router.

This is a great router, I have a two story home. I had an old n300 router before which could not keep up. I was at my local Best Buy, looking at routers. One of the sales consultants educated me on the difference in routers and the advantages of buying this router with range extender. I knew that with the size of my home, that one router may not be able to cover the entire home. So rather than make several trips and end up spending more money, I purchased this router. I ended up needing the extender for one portion of my house. I could not be happier with the router. It is 100 times faster than my old one and very easy to install/setup. I have access from an app on my phone or tablet to change settings.

I live in a rural area and my Apple TV streaming connection was intermittent with my previous router. This one gets me faster Internet connection and keeps me streaming without having to reboot periodically throughout a program.

First unit did not setup, after 2 hours on telephone with Geek Squad, he recommended return of the defective unit. Replacement connected and works great in the whole house and outside. Multiple devices are not a problem either.

Got this because so many of us on using the wifi and the Verizon router is in the basement and was so slow. Gave us the extra boost that we need. Now, no more buffering.

Would have been tough to install for someone not computer savvy.

The NigthHawk is easy to setup, once you finally convince geek support that the price of the item included their support for a year. The NightHawk appears to have a stronger signal throughout the house. I am not impressed with the Geek Support with their consistency emailing me on other unwanted support purchases by twisting the support as part of my one support contract. Overall the Geek Support Team not very friendly. I would tell friends about this item but also include my situation with Geek Support.

The extension seems not to be as strong as was told

This router is awesome! I get the same internet speeds as being hard wired to the computer. I have a smart home with lots of devices connected and this works flawlessly. You won't regret buying it!

This router is pretty easy to set up and configure. My main beef with this router is its lack of broadcasting power. Router is central in the house with minimal walls/interference to the whole house, including upstairs and in the front yard. I am even using the extender upstairs to help boost the signal. All of this is to no avail. We constantly lose signal to cameras in the front of the house 30-50ft away from router. Signal upstairs is weak at best and that is only 20-30ft away from router. I do not recommend purchasing this device unless you are hard wired.

I was stuck using the inferior router given to me by AT&T, and was having all kinds of glitch , freezing moments , and dropouts but the nighthawk solved all those issues and expanded my coverage

Overall, a great router for the money! I have a 3 story, 4400 sq ft home and have no dead spots anymore. I had a few issues with the set up, had to call the Geek Squad (Price includes 1yr free Geek squad Tech support).

Wifi is not great in rural area. Not the fault of the product.

The product has lived up to my expectations. I recommend it.

The router works great on both 2.4 and 5ghz. The only issue is the dual band range extender doesn't keep up with the signal strength the router produces itself. Still not a bad buy for the price.
