The DST adapter has extended wireless network with the same fast speed that is available closer to the router. Speed improved from <5mbps to consistently over 75.

Easy to set-up, works throughout my house and not so ugly looking

This was very easy to setup and is really quick. Makes everything run faster.

Easy setup, great range on 2.4, decent range on 5 Gig, Fast fast fast! For once I get every byte of speed to my devices that my ISP provides. If you can stomach the costs, go for it! ( I dont use the extender, so no thoughts on that, sorry)

Have one in service at home, so purchased another for my daughter and her 4 roommates off campus apartment at PSU in State College PA, used with DSL service. Moved her in, plugged router into DSL modem and powered up, called Provider to initialize their modem and start service, shazaam, no calls to Dad (the IT guy) in the 5 months since! 5 laptops and 5 phones logged on with no problems, AND they stream a ton of TV. Used daughter's laptop to Admin logon, changed PW, emailed myself the new creds, saved them to her machine with Google Chrome browser. Changed WAP name and PW to one of her choosing. Changed 5GHz channel from default to head off any possible interference with other WAPs. Although in an all concrete building, did not need the plug-in range extender, left it in the box. NETGEAR has it down pat! EASY!!

We have tried everything to extend internet through our three story home, with decreasing success as the number of technical devices used by our family grew! Finally - this device fixed everything. Thanks to Best Buy staff and geek squad talent!

I can't believe how fast my speeds are with this router. I had blamed my slow download speeds on my carrier (sorry, carrier!) but the problem was my old router. The cable guy recommended this one, and he was right. Plus, I'm really glad that I got the DST adapter. I plugged it in just inside the patio, and I get a great signal at the end of my dock and on my boat. I've recommended this router with the DST to several people, and they're all happy with it too.

I had a nighthawk that was a little over a year old and due to a software upgrade the internet port stopped working after many attempts through netgear and blogs I decided to simplify. I felt this system was in a good price range and had the extender. I have not had any issues and find the router to be just good as my $400.00 Nighthawk

I am happy with the units performance with several wireless devices on it from phones and computers to TV, so far is very good. I do find that the 5GHz channel is slower than the 2.4 GHz, but overall I am very pleased.

Setup was very easy. The DST in theory extends range in house but haven't needed it. May plug it in somewhere in the unfinished basement, just in case. The router is a little bulky but on top of a bookcase works well.

We have issues with a weak node from our cable providers internet and were constantly having to reset the modem and router, every day and sometimes multiple times a day. Not any more. We have reset it once in the last 2 months due to lagging or no wifi signal. And the speed is so much better than what we had before it's like a whole new experience.

It provided better coverage in our house particularly when you consider the extention. The only problem was that we were trying to solve a TV wifi problem of voice and picture syncing. The problem was not solved as it was a fault of the provider, but we kept the net gear nighthawk. I rated it a 4 as there are other products we are not familiar with and it is a personal choice.

EASY TO SET UP AND WORKS GOOD FROM THE START WITH NO PROBLEMS

First of all, the wireless radios are excellent--the main unit is strong enough most of the time for my house. The DSTs are just the icing on the cake. Be aware that the DSTs utilize a powerline ethernet to the main router--so no batteries or power strips can be used.

We have had a couple of routers .. But .. This is by far the most stable and best performance we have ever had from a router .. We also could not be happier with the Best Buy service .. So professional .. Great Service

This is a great product but I found it was overkill for what I and my family need. Fortunately Best Buy took it back with no questions asked and helped me replace it with another very good unit for lower price which still provides great service. The savings allowed me to buy a set of wireless headphones. Great deal. Thanks Best Buy!

This router can only be found exclusively at Best Buy through a partnership with Geek Squad and Netgear. The router is almost identical to the Netgear R7000 Nighthawk router, but also incorporates powerline. Simply plug the wireless adapter in near a dead spot, it will automatically speak to the router and provide a fast wireless signal. I like the added bonus of also being able to plug in a network cable at the remote location.
