Very pleased, as it extended my range. Able to use lap top upstairs @ the other end of the house.

My home is 5,000 ft. The router covers all of it. Great product.

This may be the first review from someone who has actually purchased the unit from Best Buy, rather than comped. I had a slight problem with the DST adapter. The DST light would stay on red. It should have been green or amber. I went over my setup the next day, looking through the manual, etc. I rather figured that I had done something stupid so I glanced at the manual again. Couldn't find a thing. So I called the Geek Squad (this configuration is a NETGEAR/Best Buy exclusive and, as it says on the sales page – "Includes 1 year of Geek Squad® Set Up & Support." I was finally transferred to a router specialist. Even when I gave him the Best Buy SKU he could find nothing about the device. I was patient, trying to explain to him what the device was, which device I was having problems with, etc. He put me on hold. He came back online and asked "So you're having trouble with your cable?" Again, I explained which device I was having problems with. He put me on hold again. He came back online and asked, "Now who makes this product?" I answered "Netgear." "Oh," he said, "you're going to have to get in touch with them. We don't support their products." Waiting as the steam escaped from my ears, I shot off an email message to Netgear support. Within minutes, I had a reply. "Please contact Geek squad and if they will not be able to assist you regarding to your issue then they will escalate this case to higher level." So I called the Geek Squad number again. I finely got through to the robo-answering device that I needed help with a router. I finally got in touch with another router specialist. I kept my story short and read the Netgear message to her. She escalated me to another level. The next person that I talked to was familiar with the product and suggested that I try another wall plug. I did and the green light came on briefly so I told her that seemed to have fixed the problem. Unfortunately the red light came back on. I read through the manual again, reading key words that should have clued me off as to the cause of the problem but they weren't getting through my frustrated skull. So I Googled the problem. One of the first hits was a 2:40 minute video. Less than halfway through the video, my problem was solved. I had the router plugged into a surge suppressor, NOT directly into the wall jack. Problem solved and everything is working better than expected. I'm getting a strong signal hundreds of feet whilst outside the house. I went through the manual again and, yes, there were a few clues about this need. But the one that I missed, completely, was on page 21: "Note: Do not plug the power cord into a surge protector." That clue may be in another review. But it certainly wasn't mentioned by Netgear or any Geek Squad member that I spoke with. I am delighted with the kit as a whole, though, and would certainly recommend it to anyone needed a great router with great coverage and range. My old, old Apple AirPort extreme just began to have occasional blackouts the other day and this less than a month (?) released router caught my eye.

Awesome. Have tried numerous routers to support and enhance very weak Comcast signal. This one works!

Run laptops cellphone printer and online movies and gaming with router. No problems encountered yet.

This works as described. No more resets like I had to do with Comcast devices.

Items were great. The wifi signal is strong and my internet service revives quick access through shared computers

The Nighthawk does everything we had hoped for. Good streaming for Netflix and seems to work well with out smart tv.

I bought this to amp up my home network and thought that the 1 year geeks quad setup assistance was a plus....I was wrong. When I did need assistance the geek squad associates were incompetent and wasted my time. After researching on my own I was able to get everything set up. It would be nice if this product came with a manual so customers don't have to research how to do simple things

It has been a challenge to get the small adapter to work. The unit itself is great. Overall, just overpriced.
