Comcast would not help because it wasn't theirs. Netgear would help reset it if we paid for service. We purchased our own to save money. We went back to renting from Comcast.

Modem disconnects and Netgear will not even answer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This modem is junk Netgear's customer service is a joke, they only answer the phone for 90 days, and you have to pay to speak with them after that. The modem keeps disconnecting, and the light turns red. If you are depending on the wifi for security, phone, etc this is a critical failure, and the only way to fix it is to reboot the router. Failed while we were on vacation and there was nothing I could do. Piece of garbage!!!

Stay away

I bought the router and when I tried activating it with my service provider the phone service would not work. After literally hours of troubleshooting it was determined there was a problem with the router. Comcast would say it was a Netgear problem and Netgear said it was a problem with service provider. It went back and forth a few times before Netgear said they would send me a refurbished one. So I bought a new product from Best Buy and they replaced it with a refurbished one. I will never buy another Netgear product. Yes, it was that bad.

Interrupting connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It worked fine for 11 month then the problem started when it kept dropping the connection as frequent as every 5-10 min Although it’s still in the warrenty period it’ll cost me $100 to have them fix it
