After one month of use, I'm pleased with purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the NETGEAR C7100V-100NAS AC1900 Cable Modem-Voice-Router for use with Comcast triple play. Be sure you buy the C7100V model and not the C7100 model if you want voice capability. This modem/router physically appears to be the same as the Xfinity branded modem/router for use with 250MB service. Note that the router uses local network dynamic IP addresses in the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.255 as Wifi devices are detected, reusing lower numbers if possible. If you need to have one device be static (for example my printer so all other devices could refer to it as was the case with my previous LINKSYS router), you can make it static within the pool by logging in to http://routerlogin.net, selecting the Advanced tab, then navigating to Setup, then LAN Setup to edit the address reservation table. It is not at all obvious how to do this, but it can be done.

Sleek and effective
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this since I upgraded my wifi speed and needed a new router/modem. This one was xfinity compatible and up to my needed speed. Overall, it's a great product. Easy to set up. It looks sleeker than having 2 clunky boxes. Easy to reset when needed. The only problem I have is sometimes it can be spotty wifi given my house probably needs a wifi extender which isn't really this products fault. I would say for the price, this product is pretty good.

Faster and further
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works so much faster and further in range. I am able to stream more products over faster channels. This one compared to my last Netgear router has a difference of night and day. Would recommend!

Good combo router lower your cable bill
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router to replace an older Arris combo router that I bought about 4-years ago. It appears to be the same router that Xfinity will supply you with if you rent from them. For the $250.00 price it will take you about 20 months to break even versus renting. Best Buy had a trade in offer when I purchased that gave me a $50.00 trade in credit you may want to look in to. IT was very easy to hook -up and get back on line. If you are able to use the trade in credit I would suggest bringing your old router in before purchasing the new on. It makes the process easier.

Good for cable not ATT

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had a strong wifi gsignal throughout the house, upstairs and down (approx. 1400 sq. ft. total) without any glitches. Be sure to let the customer service rep at xfinity know up front that you will be using your own router/modem (rather than renting theirs) to avoid delays after installation).

Worth Getting Rid of Comcast Modem/Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I decided to part ways with my Comcast and this seemed to be the best solution and indeed it was! Speed is great, reach is decent but with my home configuration and the location of my modem, I needed to keep my existing AC5300 router. Anyhow, here is my setup, Xfinity Quad, Netgear Modem, Asus Router and a whole ton of other things connected to it. Xfinity has a solution if you have Quad Play and their techs just come to sync a separate and dedicated router to their tablet thing so don't worry about that. Worth the money IMO

Meets our needs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what we need it to do. ISP would like us to have more speed but we don't do gaming, etc. so why spend more?

Excellent Cable Modem Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this to use with Comcast Xfinity Broadband. The router is working perfectly and appears to have a strong wireless signal. The connection was straightforward requiring a call to Xfinity to let them know the MAC address of the router to authorize it. The speeds for video streaming to 2 large screen tvs, browsing web on multiple devices seem to work without any slowdowns. The voip phone line feature works without any problems too. The only feature missing on this compared to the Xfinity modem is MOCA which provides ethernet signals to the coax outlets in your house. But I had a Motorola MOCA connection device which I attached to the incoming coax cable and then routed the coax signal to the Netgear modem/router. One of the ethernet outputs of the Netgear router was then sent back to the Motorola MOCA device to provide ethernet over the coax cable. Recently, we have upgraded our house to use Honeywell Lyric alarm, thermostat, Skybell video doorbell and Reolink video cameras all of which use the router without any problems. Overall, we're very pleased with the performance of this modem/router.

Excellent router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So glad I decided to ditch Xfinity router that charged $11 a month. This has been the BEST router ever not one problem, and it's so fast compared to the Xfinity router.
