This router modem was very easy to install. Compatible with Xfinity. Worked great once I remembered it had to be registered with Netgear.

I purchased this so I would not have to pay the monthly rental fee with Xfinity. Set up took way to much time, after 2 hours of being on the phone trying to get it connected I gave up and went back to the rented modem. I took a day off of work and tried again. After 3 hours on the phone and various people they could not get it connected and then I was told to contact Xfinity. Then after being on the phone with Xfinity for almost another hour the modem finally started working. The problems are not over, now I have to call Xfinity again as they are still charging me the monthly rental fee and they told me they would take it off last month, but nope they credited me for last month and charged me again for this month. The modem works good most the time, the problems I have with it, is it drops the wi-fi on my cell phone, I don't have the problem with my laptop though, so I really have to watch it to make sure my phone does not change over to 4G or I have to reconnect it, this happens every couple weeks.

Replaced old netgear router that stopped working. Set up easy. Called Xfinity to advise that I needed to replace router/modem. I did learn that if you have phone service with your cable company you need to buy modem that has phone jack. Once I bought the correct modem, Xfinity changed records with new information and we were up and running. It has been 3 months without any problems.

Talk about lightning fast speed and reliability! This router/Wi-Fi is an amazing product and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for one

Easy setup and good range in a 1900 sf home. My son games and he says it is good also. I have xfinity.

This is waaaay better than the old school gateway xfinity gave me to rent with much better wifi range. Only get ghis if u have the ohone service...if nit any other netgear cable modem is fine!

This router delivers faster speed than Xfinilty says I can get up to. I also am getting better coverage with the wifi.

I just changed internet providers and to save money I decided to buy my own cable modem rather than pay the monthly rental. The provider would hook up the internet but I had to complete the installation and connection to the internet. I am not a techie by any stretch of the imagination but did this on my own with little problem. It has worked seamlessly since. I would recommend given the ease of installation.

Using with over 5 devices without any noticeable slow down in performance. Easy to set up.

I had experienced lost Internet connections daily with the modem supplied by Comcast. I replaced it three times over the last 18 months with a new Comcast modem and still experienced lost Internet connections frequently. After doing some research I found that the Comcast modem is poorly rated and this Netgear Nighthawk modem was a highly recommended replacement. I purchased the Netgear modem and have never lost the Internet since. Set up was a snap and the signal is stronger throughout the house.
