Customers are saying

Customers regard the Nighthawk EAX80 AX6000 WiFi extender as having excellent range and ease of use, with many praising its simple setup and ability to extend WiFi 6 networks. However, some users experienced connection issues and inconsistent performance, leading to negative feedback. The accompanying app also received criticism for its functionality. While many found the extender improved their WiFi coverage, concerns were raised about the value for the price.

I bought this about 15 months ago. Ever since I have used it I had to reset it every couple of months. Now I am having to reset it on a daily basis. Was great in the beginning. Glad I bought the insurance since it appears that I will have to take this back and get a replacement.

Definitely does the job. To be honest, thought it would dramatically increase range, but it pushed out the signal just to where it needed to be. Granted maybe it's the layout of my house, and the walls just aren't forgiving, but just be sure to keep obstructions clear from its immediate vicinity. Keeping it on an open area shelf definitely helps stretch out the range and strength a bit more.

Bought this for new home, to go along with nighthawk router - we need strong wifi for streaming, gaming and server, along with phones and laptops - this does the job wonderfully, with very little latency and hiccups. Worth getting especially if you've a large home and are comfortable with tweaking the channels and security settings to maximize your bandwidth.

I bought this device to create a mesh network within the home (pairing with an AX router), but due to my own needs was not able do it. All my networking devices at home are from Netgear. From the router to the additional switches. What I wanted to do was not have varying Wi-Fi SSIDs within the home. I wanted the devices to be able to have the best Wi-Fi from any place in the home from one SSID. I know to switch to the correct SSIDs, but my family members do not. I wanted to make it easy for them. I configured it as prescribed and it seemed to work initially, but then devices started losing connection. I believe it is because I also have a wired connection into the device. I do NOT want to do away with the gigabit LAN to my other devices, hence I have a wired connection going into the extender. I think I created and IP conflict and I could not extend the network if I had that wired connection to the router as well. So I am using it as a wireless Access Point. Installation is easy, but you need to make sure you follow the instructions. I initially installed via the Netgear App. Worked like a champ. All in all I am quite satisfied with the power. We have a few clients that are Wi-Fi 6 capable and they seem to love the new Netgears in the house.

Netgear wifi extenders are powerful and easy to install. The great advantage of this product is that the wifi doesnt create an extended network that actually interferes with the signal but simply extends the existing one. This model also provides 4 ethernet ports for other devices!

I was previously getting 50 mbps on the outside patio wirelessly on my apple tv. I installed one of these and connected via Belkin cat6a ethernet from the extender to the apple tv and get at least 250 mbps now. They also boosted my phone speed wifi. So ive just purchased another for one end of the house as well

Product boosts WiFi rang in my 3100 sq ft house. There s. It one inch that doesn’t have an excellent signal, including the patio. Set up was not as simple due to using Apple products. The quick guide doesn’t explain you need to log into the extender a specific way. Figured it out working through the set up.

Love this product! Totally worth the money! It works as it’s intended to and it hasn’t failed me at all. I’ve had this for a month now and it’s hella legit. I would always buy cheap wifi extenders and they would always go out on me by a year or if we had a power outage it would go out sooner. But this right here... it’s definitely worth the investment.

This product solved the problem of a weak signal in my house. The setup was simple, it connected to my nighthawk wi-fi router with no problems. I now have a strong signal, one SSID and a very good way to manage the router and extender using the mobile app.

I bought this Range Extender to supplement the lower power Wi-Fi 5 Nighthawk router my boss had purchased for the coffee shop/cafe he opened. The Wi-Fi 5 could not penetrate a 3 inch adobe wall make it through the kitchen and through another 4 inches of rock wall, to make it to the patio. This extender sits on a shelf in the kitchen and broadcasts the existing Wi-Fi 5 network and rebroadcasts it as a Wi-Fi 6 signal with way more power. I can now pick up signal halfway across the parking lot. This extender blew even my expectations, and I know how well anything that has the Nighthawk name can perform . I highly recommend this extender. Extraordinary simple setup and more channels and bandwidth than most people will ever need

The setup was a little more difficult then I assumed. The app the first time around was glitchy. Tried it the old fashioned way thru my browser but had to reset and start over a few times. Initially set it up as a range extender but that didn't quite work for me so I reset again and set up as an access point. Worked like a charm in my larger home after that

This was a good device with good range but it did not offer the 2.5g port so i downgraded it 1 star. Considered taking a 1/2 star for the range. Excellent unobstructed range but can't deal with my size and construction as well as i would like. The issues are still managed better than most devices i tried.

This Signal Booster has extended high speed WiFi to my garage area. While it doesn't always get the very highest speeds, it gets enough coverage to make using the internet in the garage/outside office very useful.

I bought this to add WiFi signal throughout my home. It covers two floors now and I even get wifi outside. You need to make sure you sync your existing wifi and the extender right next to each other. Uses the same wifi account and does the transition between the two devices on its own.

I used the Nighthawk app at the kitchen table and configured this device over lunch. I never had to plug it into my local network. It seems to work great! One caveat, I figured out what the IP address mode was, and logged into the console. When I did, I discovered that "Mesh" mode wasn't enabled, even though I had it configured that way from the app. I turned that on, set a fixed IP address, and I'm getting 100% signal strength everywhere in my home. I had trouble with devices disconnecting with the Nighthawk RAX6000 device I had. I had to disable a lot of the advanced features to make my wireless reliable. Those settings are not available on this range extender. I'm hoping in Mesh mode that it picks up the settings from my other Nighthawk network. I'm not really clear about that.
