I went to find a WiFi extender and the helpful team member said what he thought I needed then as he continued to tell me about the other options I decided to get the best that was in front of me - I would rather have more than needed than not enough. So I chose this. Super simple pairing with my FIOS router and now I can even go into the back yard with no connection issues. So glad I went with a larger range even if it was unnecessary for my needs....I know everyone in my house will be connected to WiFi with no issues.

I have a TV and computer set up far away from my router (which is also Netgear) and this extender helps push that signal along. It was very easy to set up no issues.

Very well built. This mesh extender is powerful. I have it 70 feet away from router and still has excellent signal to the router in 5g mode. 5g tested speeds upto 450 70 ft away from router

Very quick and easy to set up. Very happy with range. Not sure exactly how far it would go. Edge of properly is probably about 250-300ft from extender and I still have 2-3 bars of signal strength.

I recently switch from Comcast ($100 per mo. and 595Mbps) to AT&T Fiber ($60 per mo. and 945Mbps hard wired). Unfortunately, no way to install the Fiber equipment in my living room - it comes into my MBR closet. I looked at mesh networks and several other options before purchasing this extender. I'm getting up to 660Mbps in my LR - wireless! The unit has 4x 1Gb ethernet ports, so I could connect my desktop PC and ethernet hub which all of my home theater equipment plugs into. Excellent! I also am streaming throughout my home using YouTube TV app. I'm super happy with this Netgear product!

Bought two of these extenders, one for the garage, because the kids have taken the garage over for their gaming, 3 Xbox one's, 1 PS4. The other for the other side of the house. The kids are happy, this extender has tripled their download speeds and there's no lag in their games. The only thing that sucks, is it's extremely long time to reboot.

Took back the X4S with only 1500 Sq Ft of range and replaced it with the X6S that has 2500 Sq Ft range. Now I get good coverage of my whole house. It also receives a very good signal from my router in a back room of the house, the X4S would not. Had some problems setting it up, but finally got it to mesh. so far so good, only time will tell. It also has a USB and 4 Ethernet ports.

After some other reviews I read I was unsure if this extender would meet my needs, but it beat my expectations! In my current home I was getting ~7Mbps download, but after installing the extender I am getting ~80Mbps download! Super happy with this product. I have Gigabit FiOS, so could get better speeds if I moved the extender closer to the main router, but happy with 80Mbps which meets my needs.Recommended to keep within a 15 foot range, but I have it about 25 feet away and slightly obstructed (behind a hallway door) for aesthetics. Highly recommend if you have a big home and need to extend your WiFi signal to the far edges.

Our router is in the basement in a corner. Couldn't use 5G upstairs and 2.4G wasn't giving us anywhere near 100 Mbps. This easily picks up the 5G from downstairs and now we get 100 Mbps everywhere upstairs and then some from it. It's linked to an older Nighthawk R7000. Set up was easy. Thank goodness with everyone home we got this before Covid hit. 5G is so much better than 2.4G if your router has the range for it. Saved me from getting a newer and more expensive mesh system. This has yet to drop or disconnect a connection. Really solid.

NOT as powerful as I expected...

Being the most powerful unit available at the time of our purchase I expected it to "reach" a LOT further than it did... We thought it would "reach" from the Comcast modem in the family room to the master bedroom with ease but we had to move it halfway down the hall and hide it in the dining room in order to get a good Wi-Fi signal... Would buy it again but just wish, for the money, that it was more powerful,,, M. 17Jan2020

When we moved into a larger home, 4000 + sq. ft. home, this was the perfect addition to our Netgear Nighthawk X6S AC4000 Tri-band Wifi 5 router. With the router on one side of the house and this extender on the other side of house, we don't have any dead spots at all. Works great inside house, garage, and outside all around the house. Highly recommend this extender and should be the only one you need if you add to a compatible router that has good distance as well. Got it on sale for $149, so that was a bargain for the quality you get.
