Overall, it has been a nightmare to try and get hooked up and going. It doesn't like to cooperate through the app and there are many others like it close to the same model/serial #. Your provider might just look up the item and log the wrong product into your account. Honestly, you'd be better off just getting a modem/router combo.

I bought this to replace the terrible Xfinity-issued modem I’d been renting, and the difference is night and day. I work in cybersecurity and regularly push a lot of bandwidth — remote sessions, large file transfers, multiple VPN tunnels, packet captures, real-time monitoring tools, you name it. The old ISP modem constantly choked under load. This Nighthawk DOCSIS 3.1 mid/high-split modem handles everything flawlessly. Speeds are rock-solid, latency is lower, uploads are faster, and even with multiple devices maxing out the connection at the same time, the line stays stable. Setup took only a few minutes, and once it synced with my ISP I was online immediately with zero issues. No more random drops, no more slowdowns, and best of all, no more monthly rental fees for hardware that barely worked. If you need serious performance for work, gaming, or a heavy smart-home network, this modem is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended — especially if you’re replacing an ISP-provided modem. This thing is a beast.

Bought on the recommendation of a repairman when my old equipment was having issues with evening reliability and upload latency. I learned that Mediacom is moving completely away from the older 3.0 cable service, and their updated list of compatible modems is awfully thin. So, I took a chance and bought this CM3000. While the price is steep, the quality and ease of use can't be denied. Set up was very easy both out of the box and with a phone call to Mediacom, and it's certainly the nicest modem I've ever owned. It's also a fair bit larger than my old one, and I'll need to find a new spot to keep them. Time will tell if the hefty investment is actually as 'future proof' as advertised, but right now, I'm very satisfied. It's been extremely reliable, returned my latency to what it should be, and boosted my speeds across the board.

After a bit if a rough start (no fault of the modem's), this modem has been rock solid and blazing fast. When I first set up the modem, Xfinity hadn't upgraded my plan to the 2 Gig plan yet. I was frustrated because my speeds were like 1650mbps down and 50mbps up. A fry cry from what I thought I was paying for. However, out of the blue, my speeds just jumped to around 2300-2400mbps down and 90mbps up. Looking back at my statement, I realized that they didn't change my speeds until the start of the next billing cycle. So looking back, it makes me appreciate this this modem ever MORE because of the significant boost it game my previous 1Gig plan. With my prior modem, I was maxing out around 1400mbps down and 45mbps up. This modem boosted those speeds to the aforementioned 1650mbps down and 50mbps up. Same plan, faster speeds...all due to a modem swap. It's been a month now and I'm totally ok with my purchase. $200 plus seems high for a modem, but such is life right now. If you have Xfinity's 1 Gig or 2 Gig plan, I highly recommend this guy.

This modem is definitely helping me utilize all 1gb of my internet when you pair it with a halfway decent router. Highly recommended. Easy set up. Looks sleek too.

All I know is, I purchased a Playstation Portal. My internet made it pause to the point I couldnt play it. I purchased the Nighthawk CM2000. It made things better, but it still glitched, but not as bad. I tried the Arris s33 afterwards, but my gaming was super glitchy and the characters were unrecognizable. Then I purchased this Nighthawk CM3000, and all changed dramatically! I get constant 1.2 gbps speeds, my Playstation portal looks better than on television with no glitching or freezing, and it enhanced my mesh system greatly! I have never felt this comfortable with a modem in my life until now! Dont take my word, give it a try, but make sure you have a good router to take advantage of these super speeds! I have a cable 1gb plan.

Absolutely love this modem. The NETGEAR Nighthawk DOCSIS 3.1 has been a game-changer for my home network. Speeds are blazing fast, connection is rock-solid, and setup was a breeze. It's one of those rare tech purchases that just works—and makes everything else better. Worth every penny.

Easy to set-up and works great with Spectrum internet. Extremely fast with zero issues.

Fully satisfied, works as advertised, setup was easy with Astound 1.5 gig service, download speeds above 2100 mbps and 26 upload. Streaming 6 TV's, 5 game consoles, 3 Ring camaras, 7 phones 1 laptop and 3 tablets (large family). Also using netgear nighthawk cm500, which I also highly recommend.

Just bought this modem a few weeks ago to replsce my 5 year old Nighthawk modem/router combo. This is definitely a great upgrade for my Spectrum cable internet. It’s also pretty future proof with built in compatibility for increased upload speeds automatically once Spectrum hits our area with it within two years without the need to add anything else. I oaired this with the new eero 7 max set of 3 routers. Excellent coverage and we’re finally getting the doenload speeds we’ve been paying for.

The Cm3000 is really a good Modern, fast and you don't have the drop offs in service as where you had with the Cm2050V. One of the biggest things I've also noticed is with the speed and processing of the videos with my Smart TV, it's much faster than the CM2050V. This is a big plus because if you have a Smart Tv, you know how slow sometimes the videos can be to show. I really don't have those lag issues any longer. Very happy with this Modern and I am sure that you will be too!! This is an absolute recommend!!

Works great with my Netgear router and very easy setup.

Works great, looks absolutely sparky, and gives me the heebie jeebies every time connect to my sparkling fast internet. Thanks NetGear -- my wife cancelled the divorce because our internet now runs so quick.

Easy set up with Suddenlink. Fast and stable signal. Delivers the speed promised. Looks good. Does not get hot. Wish I could turn the lights off.

I’m not an IT person so you won’t get the detailed spec opinions or advanced setup options. I recently cut the cable and opted to update my equipment to ensure fast, reliable speeds for streaming. Along with this modem I also purchased a new mesh 3-router system. My setup also includes a switch. I purchased CAT8 cables. The modem is located near the front of a 1,340sf single floor house. I gave priority to careful positioning of all devices in order to get the best speed. After setup I ran speed tests and various PC’s (wired and wireless) and got fast upload/downloads in line with the Xfinity gigabit x2 plan. An FYI to all though - the QoS got enabled on the router system which in turn throttled my speed much lower. The modem was blamed for the speed issues. Netgear support was phenomenal at diagnosing and determining the modem was working as should. Speed tests were over 2,000mb. 2nd call to router support where I discovered the QoS matter. Once disabled, my speeds were back to blazing fast. No drops. No issues. We’re good!

Easy to setup and performs great my second Netgear modem. What can I say about Fletch? He's been fantastic. He boxes out for us, gets the tough rebounds and does the tough things that we need to win. It's great working with him. I don't know where we'd be without him.

Seamless to connect and since I already have Orbi it was a breeze replacing the modem. The speeds are good and I did not need to restart it yet. Clearly a next gen modem.

Easy to set up and incredibly fast speeds. You do not have to be a tech person to know how to set this up. We updated our routers as well to go with this modem.
