Not disappointed

Very minimal config, with just an interface for logs on the ISP side and a single option to toggle aggregation mode on the ethernet side - but this simplicity is good for something that is just supposed to be a modem and nothing else, IMO. Pricey, but I guess everything is these days.

Worth it for Xfinity subscribers

It’ll pay for itself over time by saving on rental fees. Until recently you couldn’t use your own equipment on the X2 plan. This modem has the features needed to get full speeds and then some. With my Xfinity modem it seemed like it was resetting overnight and causing connectivity issues in the morning. That’s all gone away since installing this modem

This thing handles it with ease and hasn’t needed the regular reboots that the Arris needed. This has so far been the best cable modem we’ve had in 15-20 yrs

upgraded for the future

My previous cable modem was from 2019 and Cox suggested I upgrade. I had a service call after the upgrade to maximize my signal and they did some things. This house is from 1962 and coaxial cable is not new. Currently getting a good signal. I can tell I'm in range on the modem's webpage.

Did a little research and the upstream capabilities of this puppy hit the spot. Ultra wide band router with this is pretty seamless. Have not tried gaming but at least this gives me a chance.

Easy setup and exceptional diagnostics

Additionally, this modem diagnosed my cable connection and identified that upstream my cable connection was poor. I contacted my cable company and they came out fixed the issue. Now I’m using the full potential of the internet I’m paying for!

NETGEAR makes awesome Modems!

We decided recently to cut the cable and we wanted a modem that would be upwards compatible with Comcast. This Nighthawk cable modem is amazing and easy to setup on comcast/xfinity
