This item works great we get speeds up to 400 no buffering

So to put it bluntly the AC2600 gaming router works pretty well as a gaming router but if you plan to make WiFi calls or surf the net or have multiple devices to use at the same time, Do not buy this router! The problems started at set up, when in the instructions it tells you to use the Nighthawk app, but it caused more issues, and upon calling Netgear support, they told me I shouldn’t use the app. Then upon finishing the set up at first everything ran fine especially gaming. Then the real issues began. First using WiFi calling was a nightmare as the router kept dropping calls resulting in call failures, also Texting was affected as well. Surfing the net was also very slow. Multiple devices on the ac2600 made all the aforementioned problems even worse. All in all I give this router 2 stars because as a gaming only router it works great, but for everything else it just doesn’t get the job done.

Me and my two sons game on ps4 while my daughter and wife watch Netflix. No lag but I also have 250mb from Comcast.

No lag since purchase, was having issues with modem router. Now everything works amazing.

Upgraded from R7000 ac 1900 to this and a huge difference. speed bump of 70Giggs. I highly recommend this router!

This device really helped my speed. As a gamer, I was lagging too much with my old device. Now, rarely have that issue.

Excellent gaming router. May be a little hard for beginners to mess with the internal settings.

We had been using a much older Netgear router, and knew it was time to upgrade, since we were working toward cutting the cord and going to a smart TV in one room and a Roku in another. The change was UNREAL! With the old router, the wireless download speeds clocked at around 8Mbps. With this new beast of a machine, the wireless speed clocks at 112Mbps! Really easy setup, and great controls via the app. I would highly recommend this router.

I was on the fence on whether or not it was going to be worth $300 for a router. It was some of the best money I have spent in the last year. The DumaOS is awesome. Full control over what bandwidth limits and setting device priorities is awesome. The wifi range from the old router is probably 2-3 times better with the new router. My Macbook went from 20mbps on the old router from across the building to maxing out what the internet service provides with the new router.
