This router is great. Not only do I have many features on this router, but I have the best feature which is being able to prioritize bandwith allocation.

It has new firmware entirely from any netgear router I have owned in the past. The interface is different and takes a little getting used to.

Decided to try this router after years of a different brand. It was very user friendly and allowed control of bandwidth to each device. I highly recommend this router to everyone, not just gamers.

Since upgrading my internet service and buying this router, my internet has been absolutely awesome. There were some minor issues when setting up, but customer service was tremendously helpful.

This router replaced my AC1900 nighthawk. It gives great range and stability, with DomaOS, you have full control of your network unlike anything before. It is a made for Hardcore Gamers!

I have spent countless hours on the phone with Netgear tech support. And they still can’t seem to figure out why I cap out at only 500mbs. I have gigabit service. I have done tests directly with the modem and I do get the gigabit speeds. But WiFi only caps me out at 500. My PlayStation is hard wired from the router and I barely reach 350mbs. It’s frustrating because I see people having excellent WiFi. But mine just can’t seem to work right.

Overall I have seen an increase in performance, but expected more for such a large investment for a router ...

I’m always skeptical about higher end devices (been burned before), but the Nighthawk Pro delivers in full form. Easy to set up, many different options and the WiFi range is phenomenal.

It did brick on me the first time when I foolishly tried to update it wirelessly but the support team from Neatgear and bestbuy both helped me and got me a new one at no charge to me

Great and easy setup and walk throughout set up a guest WiFi with tighter settings, haven’t played w the vpn that it comes with, good geofence, block devices from the hub.

This is the sweetest best working wireless router I’ve ever seen! Fully customizable and works flawlessly with my xfinity internet!!!!

Since getting this router our internet hasn’t dropped, my son games and if anyone looked at their devices we would loose the internet, now we don’t it’s pretty awesome

By far this is one of the best routers I have ever purchased. The downloading speeds and gameplay are extreme. Definitely will be purchasing more of Nighthawk products.

We recently needed to add Wi-Fi to detached garage and was afraid it would interfere with strength inside the house. BUT this product does the job! Great product!

Router reboots randomly throughout the day. After searching for solutions I found that it was common among other buyers. I always kept it with the latest updates from Netgear and reset it to factory settings twice. Currently in the process of getting Netgear to look at this issue.

There is one major flaw that I am aware with this router: It does not work with smart devices on your network that communicate over WiFi. For example, a Philips Hue hub. That is a pretty big flaw for a brand new router in the era of the internet of things. I would actually return the router over this issue but did not discover it until well past my return window. If you look through the NetGear support forums you'll find multiple posts on this issue, none of them with any resolution. The people who write the firmware are very responsive on those forums and I spent a week trying different things out to get it to work. None of it worked. I have seen the same complaint about Philips Hue, HomeKit, Chromecast. These are items connected to the router via ethernet, but require communication over WiFi via a tablet or phone to configure the devices. They are unable to connect. Overall I like the router and the firmware, except for that one issue. Swap to another outer, everything connects just fine. Buyer Beware: If you care about smart devices such as a Philips Hue hub, look somewhere else. If you don't care about that functionality then I suppose it is a pretty good router.

No more lag and the wifi coverage range is pretty amazing! Setup was pretty easy as well. I do not recommend setup through a mobile phone, use a mac/pc to instead.
