The router doesn't do as well of a job prioritizing gaming systems as it claims it does. It's an okay router.

This is a good router, but you need to understand how to set it up to take advantage of its features.

Initially bought for son to improve internet speed for gaming. However, we returned it and hardwired his unit to household router instead.

Had to get a different modem. Spent a lot of time deciding. Geek squad mentioned this one. Took it home set it up and I love it. Works with WOW internet 1gps.

Older Nighthawk was beginning to need constant re-booting and went with this one. Great router. DumasOS is a great improvement from older software.

This is the first high-end router that I have purchased and I am happy to say it was worth the money. The router apps allow for a high level of customization.

I originally bought the XR500 because of the NetDuma OS, which is a nice, customizable Dashboard and the Router's UI offered easier way to look at things. Unfortunately, the Router is currently plagued with a few problems. Like some people, I have been plagued with the random internet disconnects. I have tried their most recent Firmware and hotfix firmware and even downgraded the firmware and still get disconnections, which is frustrating when it affects your game in the process. Logging on the router is also a bit unhelpful in determining the issue, and also reports a lot of false positives (DoS Attacks from Facebook and other normal sites). There were several others who have reported issues prior to my purchase and I have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but ended up returning it within Best Buy's return window. At most, it could be hardware issues, and NetDuma, who authored the Router firmware have tried to help me and others out, but at the moment, the router may not be quite stable for people that might want to have long term continuous access.

This router is not only for gamers but anyone that has several devices. You can set it to prioritize your devices. It’s really great.

It’s a great router for what it does. Geo filter works in call of duty, by filtering out the high ping players and blocking or adding them.

It was great when I first installed it, now having issues with wireless devices getting dropped and having reconnecting issues even after updating firmware to latest version. Been needing to reboot router almost every week. Even connected directly into router has delay using web browser until a power cycle. Now I wished I bought extended warranty.

Netgear has gone down hill. I've always used Netgear but not anymore. This router is great when it works. You cannot put it on one combined mode. You have to separate the 5g and 2.5g networks. If you don't then it'll constantly disconnect and won't refresh your dns. The firmware updates are non existent. Netgear support has no idea on how to fix it. I had to look online and scour hundreds of posts with the same issue to find out that you had to separate the networks. The range and signal strength isn't good either. I switched this out for an Asus and omg what a difference. Netgear has lost a 15+ year customer.

I had a linksys router that was way more in price and a lot more coverage than this router and I will never buy a linksys again Netgear blows them away

Huge improvement over our previous router. We have multiple game systems connected and there's no longer any glitching. Also, a much faster connection.

This router is awesome, interface is a little tricky and hard to use but for its wifi power i love it. Just plug it in.

Easy to set up. very fast wifi with 5 devices using at the same time. Coverage is amazing. I am happy with this product.

Bought this because my Router (Night Hawk ) a tier lower was acting up and I have had it for over 5 years. Decided to get this one to have more power and processing speed . I have the exact same wifi capability and connection which is disappointing considering I spent the extra money for better overall router and it’s basically the same as the cheaper model.

It's fast and covers much more than before. What else do I need? It works really well and I highly recommend this product everyone.
