The dual band and overall signal strength makes this the best product of its kind. Pricey, yes, but WELL worth the investment. I have a 100mbps connection with multiple Roku devices, four laptops, three phones, and five tablets, and it keeps up effortlessly.

This router has been great. I am the type of person that will buy the cheaper one. A friend talked me into spending the extra $$$ and I don't regret it a bit. I've had it for only 2 months now. It is super fast and I haven't had any hiccups with it.

Lasted 2.5 years. Was very fast until recently. 10mbs max on 5ghz. UI and firmware update system isn't great. Plug and play out the box though. QoS was decent until a firmware update made it useless. I like the app a lot but a firmware update messed that up too. Maybe the firmware is the issue? Tried reverting back but the damage is done. Is expecting this to last longer than 2.5 years wrong? Purchased an ASUS router. UI is superior. Netgear should use them as an example. Especially on something caring the Nighthawk name.

Bought this as a replacement router because it seems like I need a new one every so often. This works great and is quick and very easy to set up. Works well with many devices connected to it. And it gets the open nat for those who know what that is.

Was easy to set up. Worked right away. Bought a second one for mother-in-law's house.

Made my internet way faster. Also looks pretty sweet - like something out of Star Wars.

I recently moved into a new house (1600 sq ft up, 1600 down) where it made the most sense to place the router downstairs and my TP-Link N600 just couldn't cut it. Before replacing the router I thought the problem was my service provider, but after several checks, they assured me the speed was fine. After placing the Nighthawk, I haven't had a single issue or even had to reboot the router. With the TP-Link, on a good day, (my service is 150 down, 10 up) I'd pull 30 down on both 2.4 & 5ghz bands. With the Nighthawk I'm pushing 75 on 2.4 & 90-100 on the 5ghz band at all times. This router solved a major frustration for me - I spent time every few nights fiddling with the TP-Link settings to find a channel that would run better but it was just a weak router with weak signal. I'd highly recommend this router for a house my size.

this came out of the box fired up in a heart beat and was ready to go.

I had read quite a bit about this router, and of course compared it to other models from several companies. This router is worth the price, and exceeded our expectations. Tremendous range (for our complex we still get signal from our pool 100ft away).
