Expensive for slight improvement over old router

I thought the 3-big antennae would boost the signal more than they do. The 5GHz band makes it to the front of the house, but the signal is about the same as on the old dual band router I bought for half the price. We haven't challenged it with a full load of streaming movies while kids are gaming, etc. so I can't comment on that aspect yet.

Great Nighthawk Router

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was easy to setup and I’m 82 so for you youngsters it will be no problem. I have in the lower level family room and it handles the entire home. We have twelve devices hooked to WiFi.

Easy Installation

My wife and I were able to bring our phones, tablets & my desktop computer online quickly & with no problem. Connection is covered everywhere in our house.

Improved My Signal Significantly

My house is approximately 1800 Sq. Ft. and I get a good strong signal throughout. We have multiple (3-6) pieces using it, often simultaneously.

As awesome as it claims to be

I have a 2950 square foot 2 story house and everywhere is covered. Even outside on the patio. No problem running multiple iPads, iPhones and Apple TV at the same time. 5G works great on my gaming computer.

Fast, easy and reliable

It is large and requires more space than my prior router, simply because it sits horizontally rather than vertically. It was a great purchase for my home however, because we run many items on our network.

Nice and Easy

There are many features on this device that I might never use, but it is good to know I have them available. The performance is great and my streaming is faster than ever.
