We have internet service but the wifi coverage was limited to the computer room, down two short hallways, one bedroom and the bathroom. Would not get coverage in the living room or kitchen. We have a small house. We have a very large yard on all 4 sides of the house. We only had coverage standing outside the window of the computer room. Now with the Netgear we have ENTIRE HOUSE & ENTIRE YARD coverage. I can use the notebook & smartphone anywhere !!! Very happy, happy customer. I should add, (following instructions) we just plugged this into the back of our internet modem and it solved all the problems we had!

This router performs! It is never offline. Rarely do I ever reset the router. Speeds are quick and consistent. Excellent!

It was easy to set up. I'm in a smaller place so I turned down the power to 50% and still get great signal.

The nighthawk solved our wifi problem, allowing us to access the network from adjacent buildings and throughout our yard. Good value.

I purchased this router when changing service providers. Tried a Linksys first and noticed even with boost the range was as good as the one I received from my dsl provider. The router location is in the basement and I was wanting something to still use wifi outside. The dsl router sent signal outside. The Linksys was weak. This Netgear router does a wonderful job in covering the whole house, 2 stories basement and main floor. I can also walk outside about a 1/3 of acre and get signal. Setup took a little time and still learning some of the finer tuning of the router.

Replaced my old router with this one. Very easy to set up. Work great while we have 5 devices running at the same time. Have 2 bands so you can save one for myself.

Excellent stability and wifi speed after upgraded to The new R7000 with out of box version V1-0-9-88-10-2-88 makes it harder to flash third party firmware because it would reject the lower version. You need a special firmware that tricks it to update. The ddwrt stock to ddwrt firmware works. Then i need to flash tomato on it, because ddwrt does not like xwrt. Then i flash xwrt 380.70, then to the latest. A lot of work. But worth it.

Picked this one as I'll be using it for television, internet, etc. since I refuse to pay over $100 a month for television and internet access to the cable and satellite people. Instead went with cable for internet access alone. Cable install technician helped me set it up which didn't take 2 minutes. When my gamer 20 year old son came over and checked the speed I was getting, he was impressed. Better than what I signed up for with the cable people, but don't tell them! Looks pretty cool too!

The set up was easy and fast. Coverage is better than the nextgear that it replaced. I no longer bog down when more them one person is online.

Works perfect for my needs in a Router in my home computer needs

After blaming the internet service provider for poor service, the knowledgable technician suggested this Netgear router. The router was purchased and set up. Immediately, the internet access was 10 times better than previously. Wish we had purchased it sooner!

Easy setup and works great! Was a good upgrade from our old Linksys router

We got this router to hook up our Verizon WiFi conection, but Verizon said it might not work with their gigabit service. We winded up returning the product and we ultimately did not wind up with Verizon either. The product came with a compact manual; it was light in weight and unobtrusive. It was also a higher priced router than others we looked at, but that was because it advertised speed. As for signal service, we never got to gage it. However, the reviews show it to be strong overall.

Nice router and easy to set up. Works great and fast internet. Very pleased and highly recommended.
