We were having major problems with audio cutout and losing connection to the server when we upgraded to the Direct TV Genie 2 equipment WiFi last October. We kept complaining to Direct TV and they even replaced the equipment. Once we installed this Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band WiFi Router the audio cutout and losing connection to the server problems almost totally disappeared. Since there are two WiFi bands, we hooked up all our personal devices to one WiFi band and the Direct TV OnDemand to the other WiFi band.

It covered a great amount of area in the house.great price.geek squad installed it for a fraction of price.the staff at best buy were helpful.

I purchased this to replace my last Nighthawk that stopped working. I originally went with another Netgear router but could not get it to connect, and that was with support from Netgear, my cable company, and the Geek Squad. Returned it and went with what I know is dependable. Used curbside pickup. They brought me my new router, took the one I returned, and brought me a receipt for the return. Got home and connection was complete in 5 minutes!

I replaced a Netgear R6300v2. This has superior range and speed. No need for wireless repeaters any more!! Great product, I wouldn't think twice about buying this.

Good router, no streaming hangups. Only complaint is that it is a little big but that's pretty minor.

Recommenced by a Veteran friend and by my Hughes internet installer. It has worked well. And the design allows it to fit in many different spaces. Thanks Lynn Bailey My in store buying experience was not the greatest. I have since changed stores.

This was a gift for a family member. Set up was very easy and speed very good.

My teenagers begged me for at least a year to upgrade our old netgear router. We have two video game consoles, a Furbo, RING doorbell, 3 smart tvs among other things connected to the internet. With that being said, our wifi was lousy. The nighthawk has turned that around dramatically! I can connect to the Furbo and RING doorbell 9 times out of 10 wherever I go now. If you have video game consoles that connect to the internet and/or use YouTube I'd definitely recommend this router

Fast and has a decent range. Relatively easy to setup but has some advanced features outside of the wizard (which is what I wanted). Would purchase this again.

Easy to set up and much better than previous router. Get excellent signal thoughout my house. Definitely a great value and quality choice.

My house has three floors. With this router I have great coverage on all three floors. I also don't have to reboot all the time. Very happy with my purchase.

The router is out of sight & out of mind, mostly. It’s the darn “mostly” that can be really annoying. It’s fast, and has zero issues with playing my regular content such as Apple TV streaming services, Netflix, YouTube, HBO GO, UFC streams, etc. But every couple of weeks it seems, it’ll randomly restart itself at sporadic times during the day. My device won’t be connected to WiFi all of a sudden bc whoops, the router restarted itself again. And it takes like 5 min to complete the restart so it’s pretty freakin annoying.

A breeze to set up and app is easy to use. Able to assign different speeds to suit your need.

Handles gaming fine and all mobile phones with no lag. Set up was easy and app is decent. Overall decent. I bought on sale so was a really good deal for me.

The router was easy to install. I was able to tell the difference in speed as soon as I was connected. I am buying one for my son's home.

I like the speed and range of the router. I've gotten Wi-Fi speeds up to 780 mbps. I've had it for a few weeks and I'm happy so far.

I was a little concerned on how easy this router would be to get set up but since i was replacing a Netgear N router, this turned out to not be a problem at all. I wrote down my settings from the previous router and changed the default passphrase to my old one and all my devices instantly connected. As of now I don't know if I see a speed improvement but I'm hoping I see a range improvement as I like to use my iPad in the garage when working on my car and my old router was out of range in the garage. Streaming movies has been flawless so far.

Overall this seems to be a good router, it's fast and allows all our devises to work without slowing down the speed. Easy set up and allows for quest user with seperate password.

Other than being a bit bigger than expected, Netgear has done a great job with this. The power and reach of this router has been incredible. With three or four computers working at a time none of us seem to be losing connection or speed. It is fantastic.
