It's a little pricey but it's well worth it!!! I love how there's an app that you can download to your phone that shows you what's using the the router and having to be able to reboot without physically shutting and turning the router on and off

My speeds tripled in my home with an increased distance nearly double. AC is a welcome addition especially with the new Apple products supporting this

It has been a couple of weeks since I installed this wireless router. It took some fiddling getting it to run properly, but once it was working, it has been rather a good experience. The speed stays pretty high (I have 150Mbps) and have not noticed big dips below 50Mbps, even if I am streaming 1080P movies and having several devices connected or even downloading. Every once in a while I do notice some disconnects, but they happen on my mobile, so it's hard to say if it's my device or router. Still, I would recommend it based on the time I've had it so far.

Replaced my WNDR4500 with this model. Bought the same brand even thou I had many problems with my old one. I read a lot of reviews and decided to buy this one. I've used this for a couple months and it been smooth sailing. No problems at all. Wireless home theater receiver, Xbox 360, Surface Pro2, Blu-ray players x2, Samsung tablet x2, Galaxy S7 x2, one desktop computer and a TIVO Roamio all connected with zero issues. Yay

We added a room off of the master bedroom and our wireless signal was very weak. After talking with the Bestbuy associate I purchased this router. Now our signal is excellent in the new room. I can actually get a signal outside in my Motorhome.

I bought this purely from the recommendation of the Best Buy guy that was helping me (sorry don't remember name). I went in and told him I have AT&T gig service and a 2 story house and the wifi was crummy downstairs. He did not jump the the most expensive router he showed me the lower end and a mid range one, asked a few question on how we use wifi and gave his recommendation which again was not for the very high end expensive one. My service is now so much better I can actually use wifi downstairs with no problem.

Easily installed with bare minimum of code/password hassle PROVIDED you don't mess with using the app. 2 frequencies. Handles all my needs- 2 computers, an I-phone 8, and an LG HDTV. The app appears to be for people who love tech and having comm with others who do. As usual, the seller wants to know how it has behaved for the last year, but wants to know this 2 weeks after you acquired the device.

I decided to spend more on a WiFi router when my old (and less expensive) Netgear router gave up the ghost after six years of service. The extra spend was well worth it - subjectively, the range of both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands seems to be double that of the old router, which is good because it's also serving a wired network and had to be located in a far corner of my basement. A single wireless extender for the extreme opposite 2nd floor corner was all we needed to cover the entire house.

We have had problems for years with regards to our wifi signal. We have about a 1900 square foot house and so far I have had no complaints from anyone in the house. We are satisfied with our purchase.

We purchased this router as an exchange for a Linksys AC2200. While the Linksys was a complete disaster (dropped connections and internet access about every hour requiring reboots), this Netgear router has been rock solid stable ever since installation. Setup was a breeze (we used the app) and we really haven't had to touch it since. Still need to setup the network storage with our external drive but I'm confident it will work great. Best router purchase we've made in many years.

It looks like an alien ship, but it works really well. One thing I have learned with various purchases of WiFi router - the more expensive they are, the better the performance. Using the NETGEAR Genie app makes connection and operation a snap!

Very good product. I bought this because it replaced the old Wi-Fi system that I have. I upped my data speed for my carrier Bright House to 150 and this thing works wonderfully with it. No problems with drop signals or anything like that.

We bought the Netgear R7000 to increase the range in our house. We also wanted the 802.11ac protocol. Both have exceeded our expectations. The download speeds we get updating apps and watching streaming video work well. We have no issues with range in the house anymore. We particularly like the dual band. We can have one person on 802.11n and have the TV on the 5G band allowing us to do multiple things indifferent devices without interference. The device has a rich feature set and security settings which make it the ideal wireless router for our needs.
