We bought this unit to replace an older model, 3 years old, that was periodically dropping connection to our devices. We were happy with the older unit, so we decided to buy another as a replacement. I hope this one lasts longer, though I'm not sure what the lifespan of the routers are. It was a pain to connect all of our devices to the new router, so I really hope this one lasts longer.

Router easy to install. It provided immediate speed increase to all connected devices. Range is good too.

The nighthawk works well for my needs. I am a student and my husband is an online gamer. We had a few issues when we first set it up but that was related to COX being the worst internet provider. Once they finally fixed there issue we haven't had any more issue with the signal being weak. It also works in the areas we had trouble with before due to how thick our brick wall is. It is great for our needs and I would recommend to others

Had it for about 4 months now. Significantly better range and performance than our old router. Streams movies to all areas of the house. Really like the ability to add a shared hard drive via usb3 port.

Love my Net gear Wi-Fi Router. I do not like the Wi-Fi running throughout my house when I am sleeping. With this router, I can turn off Wi-Fi when I'm not streaming, with the touch of a button that is located on the top of the router. It is very simple to turn on and off Wi-Fi.

Good coverage on my house, streaming devises do not freeze up, good speeds.

Works great, but 5ghz has disconnected on me at least 3 times a week. Researched the issue and updated to current firmware release and still having the same issues. It's annoying having to downgrade firmware. Other than that, GREAT RANGE and easy to setup. If the new firmware release can get that stable, I'd give it a 5/5.

I bought this Router to replace a older model. I can pick up my WIFI 1/2 block away! Three stories down to the basement! I have NOT found any "Dead Spots" with this unit. Very easy to set up and use...

This router has great range, and with Cox ultimate HSI and a new modem, Moto SB6141, I can get 184mbps down loads on my note 3, and 198 mbps on laptop using Netgear A6200 wifi adapter. So far have only tested with four devices streaming video at the same time, with out any issues. The equipment that got replaced lasted 6 years, this equipment should last until we get 1 gig service in our neighborhood. Tried the moto all in one and returned within 1 day for the above equipment.

I wrote "big" as the "not so great" but if you have an out-of-the-way place to put it do not let that stop you. We have multiple devices and people and when the two kids were gaming on their laptops it was just about impossible for Dad and I to get anything done online. Problem solved with this router. (There is still one game now that gives us a problem but frankly I haven't put much time into figuring out why). It also reaches further areas of the house better then our last one.

I am using it as router and connected two more to the router as access point to cover large area at church. All of them are working fine under two different networks for 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.

Very pleased. House is 3400 sq ft. Have around 10 or more devices and all work great, no dropped connections
