Needed an upgraded router to obtain faster speeds. This did it. Also covers entire house.

I needed to upgrade my Apple Extreme router because it had become outdated and I wanted a usb3 port for an external hard drive. The new Apple extreme was still behind in technology compared to this so I had to make the switch. This thing is noticeably faster moving pics and music to the hard drive connected to its USB3. Gaming is also much smoother. It was hard to make the switch from the sleeker looking apple product, but I am glad I did.

Router is fast to set up, has great coverage and is blazing fast

Our previous router kept dropping off line. I did research and narrowed my choices down to 3 routers. After talking to the associate at Best Buy, giving him our requirements, he recommended this router, and it was not the most expensive one on my list. We have been using it for over a month and service has not been dropped once, and speed is great. Glad I talked it over with the associate before buying.

Easy to set-up. Works great. For the first time I have wifi in my entire house and yard.

This router has been so easy to use and set up. I get no lag and no disconnects. All my internet issues have been taken care of all at once! It was a easy set up and have not had to do anything since. As well as it has a usb in the front that is really easy to access. Get this router and thank me later. No review will do it justice. Plus looks awesome, Just try it!

Went from Netgear n900 (2011) to Nighthawk R7000. We use it as an extender for up stairs. (We have spectrum for provider). We run 4 gaming consoles at the same time with no problems =D Thank you Netgear !! Hopefully this one last 10 years like the last =D Also very easy to set up.

Let's face it, it's an intimidating look. A bit of space age, dark and brooding appearance, actually makes me think of the movie "The Black Hole". Aside from that, it seems to be working very effectively. The range it offers is certainly a nice bonus, though I'm not certain all the bells and whistles it boasts are all they are cracked up to be. Perhaps because I am unsure of, or simply do not make use of them. All in all, it's a good piece and I'm glad to have it.

I had bought routers in the past ,but was hesitant about buying this one because of the price. I gave into the price of it and got it. After installing and setting it up, I had no doubt that the decision I made buying this router was a good one. The WiFi reaches all across the house now, which my old router could not do. The connection on it has been stable and had no problems with it since I started using it.

I have had this for almost two years now. Work excellent for the first 18 months, then a firmware update was pushed out and basically turned this into a paperweight. Netgear support is useless unless you want to pay for them to help you with their own equipment. My normal daily routine is to unplug and reboot everyday when I come home from work and hope it stays working the rest of the evening. Looks like I will be spending more money to replace this due to no new firmware updates for months now to correct the problem. I had held out hope they would fix their own faults but no luck. Now the decision is do I stick with netgear that used to work seemlessly with my Netgear mesh extender and hope they dont screw up the firmware on other models or go with a different brand. Thanks Netgear for ruining a great product

This has good range and can keep up with multiple devices without much lagging

Good router. Very easy to setup. Speed is good. Takes a while to reboot but that's that only drawback
