Upgraded from an old Airport Base Station and loaded some open source firmware on this and it has been a powerhouse of a router. LAN and WAN speeds have increased dramatically. Signal strength has been improved as well. Netgear has really impressed me with this product and I will look at their offerings first when it comes time to replace / upgrade.

This router was purchased because my existing router couldn't get a signal downstairs to my Xbox. This thing is amazing it gives me rock solid signal throughout my entire house (about 2600 square feet 2 story). The only issue I have is that my Lync calls suffer a bit because I can't enable QoS because the rules don't exist :( Fix that please :)

Set up easy, works great. Hooked automatically 2 my new smart tv!!!!

It reaches throughout a two story house and doubles my previous routers speed.

So Far with the number of devices in the house it seems to work appropriately. It seems like every time we add a device we need something new...hopefully that trend ends

My mother re-enrolled into school & she was worried about her wi-fi connection. Since purchasing this external router, her coverage has yet to drop any signals, etc. This was the perfect device she need to provide her with a stress-free school life. I'm so proud of her!!!!!

We’ve been getting by for years with lesser routers but now that we stream TV, we decided it was time for a better one when we began to have problems with the old one. The Netgear has been great - effective and reliable inside and outside the house. The only negative is you may have to make a call when setting it up because instructions can be a bit confusing

My technical ability is low. This is the 2d Netgear Nighthawk router I have had, and I also had help installing it from a Geek Squad member. It seems to be reliable, and working well to keep the little network running. Trouble free is the key for me. Also 5 years of service is pretty good I think.

I had an old airport express and it was fine in my apartment. Recently I moved into a townhome. I have 3 floors in my townhome and my airport express was not enough. Netgear Nighthawk solved the issue. I get full speed at every corner of my house in every floor. Highly recommend this. Also, I want to thank the Best Buy associate who helped me purchasing this.

No issues. If you do a lot of gaming and/or streaming, this is perfect. I have perfect signal anywhere up or down in my home (1600 sq ft). Even out to my detached garage.

I recently started streaming Netflix and Amazon videos. This router has eliminated a lot of the buffering I experianced with the router supplied by HTC.
