Easy set up No lag for anyone Overall great product

Flashing makes this trashy GUI golden! I used DDWRT to unlock the full potential of the hardware. The built it firmware is invasive, straight up trash and practically useless for the power of the hardware. It would be 5 star if it had open software in it.

Faster speeds for gaming and easy to install. I had mine installed in minutes.

I have brick walls blocking my wi fi reception. The geek squad installer was impressed with the ability of my range extender to overcome the obstacles.

I am not an internet expert. I don’t understand the intricacies of wireless internet. I would say I know as much as the average American. So with that said, this review is targeted for those with my same level of understanding. This router has been giving me hell since I plugged it in. I purchased it Feb 2021 and its now July 2022. For the first 6 months I had it plugged in and set up, I wasn’t even using the product. I had a modem router combo and despite me following the exact guidelines on how to use this router with my existing setup, it didn’t work. I wasn’t having any trouble with my existing setup, but we’d been playing more online games and I was being proactive when purchasing this product. So, since there were no issues to begin with and none that followed after plugging this thing in - all was well. UNTIL I realized my mistake. So, I get a new modem and explained to my cable company that I had my very own router. A nice one at that!! I couldn’t wait to get it rolling. I downloaded the app (which is why I’m giving 2 stars and not one. The app is nice) I setup my new password and WiFi name. Updated the nighthawk software. All that good stuff. And at last, I was connected. Low and behold - my internet speed was TRASH. Both wireless and connected. I do some quick research everyone on the Netgear forums said to roll back the software to a previous version and I would have better speed. So, I rolled it back and yes - I did in fact have higher speed! But, it came at a steep price. My internet would randomly cut out. Meaning I had to go to the Netgear router and hit the power button, leave it off for 10 or 15 seconds, then power her back up. As a matter of fact, my 7 year old just came to me and said he’d be restarting the router because his Fortnite game crashed. I had to copy this review and paste it in my notes app so I wouldn’t lose it when he restarted. This is the third time today. Which is what prompted me to leave this review. I guess I’m going to update the software today and suffer with mediocre internet (even though I pay a small fortune for the highest level Gigabytes my supplier offers). I may sell this thing and never look back. I will never purchase a Netgear nighthawk product again.

We have several devices (3 I=Phones, 2-laptops, one home computer, and a VOIP phone). The NETGEAR - Nighthawk can handle all of them. We have never had a problem using all devices at the same time. The internet speed is up to par with any other Ethernet that we had in the past and a lot better than some.

Router works well. Easy to set up And use the mobile app to get started. The range is ok, not much better than my previous router from 5 years ago

OMG! where shall I begin? This product is awesome. I purchased NETGEAR - Nighthawk Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch after I examined so many routers, different models and brands until I settled for this one. I have large home (two story and basement) and guess what all are now connected through wifi. I am very satisfied with this product and I HIGHLY recommend it.

I had a nice router that I used for a business but had been moved several times and was 5 years old so decided to look at a new one. The bestbuy salesman was very knowledgable on this product and it didnt disappoint. I have a 2 story 4 bedroom house and it provides more than enough signal for anything from movies to gaming anywhere in the house. Highly recommend.

Replaced a 10 year old wireless router with this awesome device. The wireless range and signal strength is excellent throughout my entire two story house.

This router provides great coverage. It allowed me to replace two repeaters in my home with just this router. The next closest router which I found with coverage close to this was the new Apple device. In comparison, Apple was easier to set up, but Netgear provided a stronger signal throughout our home.
