Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting. Those kicks were fast as lightning. It was a little bit frightening. But I bought the Netgear NightHawk and it alleviated my fears of network bottlenecks to our file server and works great for unsanctioned gaming sessions at the office.

I purchased this router to upgrade my old router. My old router was also a Netgear router,. This new router was easy to install and I am happy with it. It has better range than my old router and has worked for several weeks now without any problems.

Set up was pretty easy. I am not much above a novice and had no problems. My son did the strength test on his Xbox One and said the signal was much higher than before. We have the router one first floor in a small computer room and the Xbox upstairs in a corner room.

I had a Xfinity router, one that was gray and stood up. Decided to get my own and save some money down the road. Didn't realize just how much better this router would be. Two story house and the signal strength is excellent throughout.

I bought this to replace the prior model of this router. A power surge that overcame my surge protector caused the old one to fail. Until then the unit worked fine and was easy to set up.

Upgraded to play online gaming in 4K! Was worth the upgrade as I don’t suffer from packet loss issues or lag anymore while my wife is watching TV or on phone, pretty happy with this beast.

Had the whole unit in and setup within a couple hours. Logging into the web interface was all it took to find your way around the administration. Very straight forward. No major network experience needed. Running 8 units off the one router. Excellent replacement for the "N" we had prior.

This WiFi router was significantly more costly than I was expecting, but we got it anyway because there have always been WiFi dead areas in our home using a modem/router combo. This router boosted our WiFi greatly and happily we no longer have any dead zones.

I've been paying for high internet speeds and only reaching a 1/4 of the limit. I have had my old router for over 10years with no problems, but after the cable technician said that my old router just doesn't have the capability to reach the speeds I am paying for, we decided to make the purchase. I was concerned what brand would work well with the equipment provided by Time Warner Cable (now Spectrum).
A friend at work and I were talking about routers and she mentioned she just installed this model and it works great. I purchased it solely on the fact of its proven compatibility with the existing equipment provided by the cable company. There were other options that were less money with very comparable data transfer rates.
I have about 11 items within the home that requires or accesses wirelessly. I thought this installation would be a simple plug and play. Absolutely wrong! The phones connected seamlessly, but the other equipment was difficult to connect.
I spent over 2-1/2hrs on hold for NetGear Support only to have the line disconnected. Spent another hour or so before I finally got through to Tech Support only for them to say it was MY equipment and I would have to pay $80 for a service plan for them to help me. I started the call to Tech Support around 9am and didn't get everything connected until well after 5pm! It was the Mfg of my other equipment that was able to finally get me connected.
The equipment is also in a very unusual shape making mounting this difficult or having to take up valuable desk/counter/etc space to leave sitting out somewhere.
Although it is now working as expected, it was not without some heartache along the way. I am also not thrilled with their customer service. My choice to not recommend this product is due to their lack of customer service.
I do have some technical knowledge, but I did need help. The purchase wasn't even a few days old when I called for support, so to have them ask for money to help me get connected didn't sit well. My other router was a Belkin and although the model was outdated, after almost 10 yrs their customer service would help me anytime I had connectivity issues.

I have had many netgear routers. I like the user friendly interface the best. Did not realize how long I had waited for a new one. The house network was just running slow so I got the new night hawk series doubled the productivity to all devices

This router is Da Bomb! It allows us to run everything at a much faster speed. We love it! This is our 2nd router. We had to replace it because our fat cat jumped on top of it and broke it. Just wish it was cheaper.

Very good router. It was very easy to change the settings to accept a static IP.
If it weren't for the uselessness of the Netgear set up app, I would have given the property 5 stars.
