We had not upgraded our router in years and it was very slow. This new router is very powerful. We have a large 2 story house with multiple users. We don't even have to use our extender now.

This is a wireless router that Apple should have come out with when it implemented the AC wireless protocol. Before this wireless router, I had an Apple Time Capsule with 3TB hard disk for backup. In order for the Apple Time Capsule to work, one had to access the network settings within the device-not true with the Netgear Nighthawk. Just make all the correct connections and power up the Nighthawk-you're done. Just like anything else please, please, please, follow the setup instructions especially if you are fairly new to networking. I was a die-hard Apple fan and in most respects I still am but the Netgear Nighthawk, with its slick Netgear Genie interface, is hard to top regardless of your operating system preference

This router solves my busy networking needs nicely. Has great range, and is stable. Quick and painless set-up, and online access for this router is also a breeze.

This router replace the same router I had that got damaged during an electric storm. Works great have signal out in the yard all around the house.

we do a lot of streaming here at home and since we bought the night hawk we have been able to enjoy tv/online time. no more buffering in signal is great in our 2 story home

Great system, high speed but its processor is what makes the difference. Also, it has great range. Excellent system, worth the investment.

Within a few months, the router started dropping everyday. It was still under the one year warranty so I called netgear tech support. They insisted that I subscribe to a separate tech support service which costs ~$50 for a one time use. They refused to honor the warranty because they did not believe it to be hardware related. I instead did additional research and found there has been an apparent long standing issue with their firmware not working appropriately with this router. I manually installed an older firmware and it started working again. I do not know why their tech support would not directly inform callers of this issue and instead direct them to an expensive tech support. I can’t recommend this product unless you are technologically savvy to fix any and all issues on your own. Otherwise it could get much more expensive quickly if you need tech support.

Does exactly what it says it does. 100% signal you will probably get from 20 feet. 90% signal you will get from 40 feet. Does great for gaming with 2 xbox 1's no problem

This wireless router has a much greater range than my previous router. The price tag was slightly more than I wanted to pay but realized it was worth a few extra bucks after it was installed.

Got new broadband fiber optic service and old router couldn’t keep up. With this router, no buffering or interrupted streams.

Since I installed this product my Wi-Fi speed has definitely increased considerably. However, I have a large home and connectivity in parts of the house further from the router is still relatively slow.

I had an older router with a very poor signal. I purchased the Nighthawk and my signal strength is now excellent! Great buy!

We have had the router for four days, it has done great. It has been a blessing not to have any lagging when spending time on the web or streaming movies. Great product.
