I was always complaining to my ISP about my low internet speed, but it wasn't until I tried this router that I found out it was my old router all along. I went from ~6mbps to ~75mbps download just by changing the router. I also noticed some improved connections when using a chromecast. I cant really say anything about range since all my devices are relatively close by and don't feel like going out in the cold to do any testing. Lastly... I keep getting compliments about how it looks, so even that was an improvement from my older netgear model.

Bought a Net Gear wireless router for another property and loved it, so replaced our old slow one with this Netgear Nighthawk which covers more space and is faster.

Easy to set up. Can have multiple items hooked up at same time steaming videos without issues. Works better than our old router to get signal down stairs.

This is a great router. I've had several different brands of routers before including Netgear but this one is easily the best I've had so far. Setup was easy and took me less than half hour. Once setup, the signal strength and coverage are excellent. No dead zones (in a 3 storey house) and no dropped signals. Very pleased with the purchase.

I had wifi, but wanted way more range and power, plus wanted my own so I could be responsible if any problems arose rather than waiting for those rascals at the ISP to get around to dealing with it for me. Turns out, easy to install and zero problems, and the range is great. Netgear57 runs in my home office while I sit hundreds of feet away down to the shore, out on the pier, and at the far end of the boathouse on the swing to work on my laptop while bald eagles and great herons soar over the water. Good equipment at a great price.

I have connected up to 10 devices so far, with two devices streaming HD movies at the same time. Had experienced dropped connection couple of times, but restarting the router resolved the issue. You can create your own small cloud by connecting a HardDrive to this router and use that as a central place to store all stuff that you want to share across like movies, songs, etc. You can also share the data over Internet, but I only tried once and then disabled it.

LOVE IT! Got tired of having to deal with out of date equipment that i was renting from Midcontinent, so went out and purchased a router and modem. Just had to call my provider to do their setup on their end. Works so much better then the rented stuff. My kids are gamers and no longer yell at the internet just from switching to this. The set up was pretty easy. Uses an app on your phone. If you have kids/teens I have found the app helpful as it allows you to have control over all devices connected to the wifi all from your app. With them having to be at home part time (at the time) for online school and me at work, I could disable the wifi connection to the gaming systems when it was school time and then reconnect them just by opening the app. Huge help for one of my teens as they are easily distracted. Only regret was not buying this sooner!

This router has been a great replacement for my aging router. However, the firmware still leaves a few items to be desired. My primary issue which has resulted in my only using the device as an access point instead of a router is that you can't customize the DNS servers provided to clients via DHCP. I run a Windows Server Essential server at home which utilizes Active Directory. For machines to successfully use Active Directory, they must use DNS servers that belong to the Active Directory domain. Without the ability to customize the DHCP configuration, I can't use the router for DHCP.
