    I struggled with my N600 router to get signal in the back bedroom which is about 35 feet from the router. Granted there are several walls to go through, but there is also a straight shot hallway without any obstacles. Even with the antennas positioned optimally, we are unable to get signal in the bedroom. I may keep the router anyway, because in the room it is in the speed is fantastic, but the range leaves much to be desired.

    I bought this to replace an aging Apple AirPort Extreme because sometimes it would have slow Internet and need to be restarted to fix it, and because there aren’t any more firmware updates. The AC1900 had less range than the Airport and was much slower unless a device was in the same room. The worst thing is I had to restart it about once a day because some devices would stop connecting. Maybe I had a lemon. I returned it and got a Nighthawk X6 R8000P which is way better. I didn’t want to try another AC1900 because of the slow speed/weak range and figured that’s not going to improve and is most likely from the size of my house. Haven’t had to restart the X6 and I installed and configured it 12 days ago. The range is excellent! I also like that there’s a switch to turn off and on most of the LED status lights which aren’t needed unless troubleshooting, so this saves a bit of power.

    Setup was easy. Two part setup better than an all in one. Xbox had no issues and NAT type is always Open.

    My husband bought this for my birthday. It doesn't work as well as the salesman said it would. At times there are 4 or 5 online and it doesn't work any better than my old one.
