So far as I can determine, the router performs as advertised. It has very good signal strength at my small house. However, it did not solve my problem, which is reliable connections with the Internet for a CapTel phone. This is a specialized phone for the hard of hearing and it is supposed to provide captions of phone conversations. The problem appears to be in the phone itself, as the router provides far more speed than the alternate phone connection (power line adapter) does.

I bought this as a replacement for a gateway and was impressed with the increased speed and performance.

So my husband had to get a new router because he got an Alien Ware laptop. He was like, "Our old router won't work. It's too slow. Must have faster router." So he picked out this one. It was easy to install. I'm glad he knows what he's doing, because I'd probably mess it up somehow. He had it up and running in like 10 minutes. Then he was like, "There, you see? Faster?" Honestly, it felt like the same speed as before, but if he says so...

I bought this unit to finally get rid of the CIsco router that required regular restarts to keep the WiFi working.I had already made one of these Cisco routers a brick trying to upgrade the firmware. It was just time to bring in newer technology.I backed up all my settings before making the switch but the new router came up and automatically applied the proper settings. It just works and the WiFi has more than enough range to run my house.

This is a great router I don't have any dropped signal when I'm connected to it. I like the fact that it has 5g also for the devices that use a lot of data to stream movies. It can handle all the devices we have that can connect to wifi (about 13) without any interruption or lost of signal strength. It also has incredible signal distance. This replaced an old router we had for 8 years a netgear 300, which of course was no match for this one.

I have tried routers ranging from low end to the $500 high end and always end up coming back to this one. It is a rock solid performer and never lets us down. Super fast and tons of features. You'll love it, especially if you have a larger home, it has incredible range.

We had problems with our wifi bofore we installed this. It was was easy to install and works great!

We have always purchased Netgear routers and have never been sorry. Easy to install, and great performance. Our Best Buy associate advised us to upgrade our current net gear router to this one since it is not in the same room with our new ROKU. Seamless uninterrupted streaming is the result, since this unit make the very most of our wireless internet signal. Good bye horrible satellite tv expense-- hello streaming effortlessly.

I would highly recommend this router! My primary issue with the router I owned before this, is that the wifi signal would not reach certain areas of my home, and where the signal did reach, it was very poor. The nighthawk router boosted my range by at least 200%, and has great signal. Overall, my experience so far has been very satisfactory.

Highly recommend! Pros: EASY to set up. The fast processor makes this an amazing router- Built in VPN server. QoS you can manage the upstream &downstream. 2 extra USB ports. Cons: I don't like the sci-fi look to the router. It's large and bulky. It does come with built-in hooks to hang it. The wall power adapter is big, I had to get a new power strip just for that purpose.

The Netgear night hawk is by far the best router I have gotten it is reliable and has very good range.
