Great range and easy to set up. Love Netgear routers and the app is great too.

I purchased this router to replace an aging Linksys router. The setup was easy and I was able to get back online in a very short period of time. Software is available to setup and manage the router. The range is excellent. I can logon the router from several hundred feet away. The USB ports are great and I have shared a USB 1GB hard drive as well as a printer using them. Again, the setup was easy and works great. The one thing that I am a little disappointed with is the very rudimentary Parental Controls. It's either all or nothing and cannot schedule usage by device and time of day. This could be a show stopper for some. Other than that, it's a solid performer.

Starting with the good. Works well, decent range, improved speed. Now the bad. Tried to set this up myself. Never had a problem in the past with setting up modems; I've done it for friends and family as well as my own set up. Two hours into trying to get this set up I called a friend who basically does this for a living. She arrived and three hours later it was set up. The directions don't make sense, took her 7 attempts to get it to run, she's honestly not sure why it suddenly all came together. It's a great modem if you can get it set up. I'd recommend it only to friends who have tech support available or who are tech support.

Ordered for In-Store pick up and got my email confirmation that it was ready in 7 minutes after my online order posted. Was in/out and got the new router home to replace my 12 yr old Linksys. The NightHawk router was up and running in another 10 minutes, updated it’s firmware and off it flew. Ran two performance tests across wired (PC Win 10 to router) and then wireless (iPhone to router). Both the wireless and hard wired connections produced over 94mb of the 100mb cable line. Amazing speed without any tweaking to the network and the wireless runs over 100mb most times which means that the wireless is faster than the hard wired connection. Hard to believe. One new router changed my network which was capped at 32mb with the older router to over 100mb every hour, every day.

This router was extremely easy to setup. I was back online in just a few minutes. No difficulties at all. The speed is just incredible. I get pretty good range on wi fi as well.

The range of wifi extended,but not by enough for my house. Nothing an additional range booster won't fix. In fairness to the product, the router is about as far from the corner of the house I'm trying to reach as possible and it did improve the signal strength compared to the Verizon FIOS product we were issued during the installation.

Solid performance, easy to install and highly recommended for home wifi router.

Purchased as an upgrade from my N600 and started out fine but dropped wi fi strength. Took back to store and traded for another and set up seemed easier and quicker. The wi fi strength is considerably stronger thru testing. Guess got a bad router. Signal strength does not drop off no matter where I’m at in my house. Would recommend this router.

I have always used Linksys routers in the past. This is my 1st NETGear, I am very satisfied with it so far. Administration and setup was a breeze. So far the coverage and speed appears to be better than my E2500 Linksys.

Great router with excellent performance, a huge improvement over my Time Warner supplied unit. The power supply failed within the first three days of use, luckily I still had a spare from another router laying around. I hope to have a replacement power supply from netgear shortly, just haven't had time to contact them yet.

This is a great router with easy set up and once done it has great speed.

This router has provided great connectivity in our home. We have almost 5000 sq ft over two floors and a finished basement. I haven't found a dead spot yet and also have a good signal on my front porch, back porch, side deck, etc. I've got 2 TV's streaming exclusively, plus 2-3 computers and 2-3 phones connected simultaneously with no issues. I wanted a router that would cover my whole house without having to add access points and this thing has worked flawlessly so far. But... inexplicably, this weekend I lost my internet signal... I had internet coming into my modem, but not out of my router... followed all the troubleshooting steps to no avail... luckily, I had the 2 year replacement plan... took to back to Best Buy, got a replacement, plugged it in and all is fine again... No idea what might have happened to the first one. It had lasted well over a year with no issues...
