This is a replacement for a slightly older router. It's been running for one month with no dropped signals and a noticeable increase in download speed on my devices. Glad I finally got this router.

If you pay for high speed Internet you expect high speed WiFi. With the rented isp router you may not get that. With this you do. I get the speed I pay for all over my house.

easy to set up and update I like the fact it has two wireless networks one small issue it doesn't fully support subnet masking but it is easy to get around even though it should fully support it

We got a new router because of the scare of a possible security issue with the router we had (Linksys E2500). The Geek squad came to the house, checked out the old router (said it might be fine), but we elected to get a new one that had updates possible and overall better performance and specs. It works fine and actually gives us full house coverage, whereas the old one did not work well in the basement.

I had to replace my reliable D-link DIR-655 which died. I just got a new mac so I wanted to go with the AC standard. This router is a breeze to setup. Took awhile to find the information for the att wireless gateway since I just switched to uverse. This thing is lightning fast. I love that I can assign different SSID's for each band. I was torn between this and the ASUS model, but wanted the net gear for extending compatiblity. I have used this for awhile now with no issue.

Works sooooo much better than one from cable company. We get a clear signal anywhere in 3400sf house on multiple devices. Haven't had any problems in the 6 mos we've had it.

I've owned many routers over the year. This is by far one of the best. The stability has been amazing. No reboots in over 8 months now. Signal strength, both 2 & 5Ghz bands have been flawless.

We've burned through quite a few routers over the years but this one seems to be a tank. Once we had it dialed in and setup our fiber line it's been feeding all our streaming devices without too much struggle. Maybe once a month or so we do need to hard restart but not certain that's the routers fault and doesn't make us like it less.

My house is about 4000 sq ft and spread out. Other range extenders I tried did not reach the edges of the interior, forget the outside. This one does and I use two of them since the house is somewhat L shaped.

Like a lot of people, I thought I had crappy internet service, when I in fact had a crappy prehistoric router. I replaced my 5 year old router with this baby, and my house has had lightening fast, uninterrupted WiFi ever since. My house is 2-stories. I’m running 3 smart TVs, 3 computers, 3 tablets, and video games with this router. No issues Easy setup

Easiest router I have ever setup. The instructions are clear and concise. The performance is incredible. My previous Linksys router (2.5 years old) would frequently drop a device if many devices were on the network. This router hasn’t dropped a single device. Would recommend this router to anyone that has many devices across both bands

This router is big enough to handle our smart tv, apple tv, xbox, all our portable devices. There is no delay or buffering. With that being said, the set up was a nightmare. The instructions include a customer service number to call for assistance of setting up. At the Best Buy store, the sales person told me that Netgear would be able to help set it up. I even told the Best Buy sales person that this was for use with my smart tv. My husband was on the phone with Netgear for an hour setting up our devices when he was told they would not go any further without payment of a "tech support" contract or something like that. It was completely underhanded. They did not mention that at the beginning of the call. They did not tell us that if you need assistance for a smart tv, that is considered a complex device and it will be an additional cost. By the time that my husband was involved in the installation with the assistance of Netgear, it was too late to end the call. They charged another $70 for the set up and 6 months of tech support. It was another hour on the phone to finish all of the set up once we agreed to pay the extra fee. The product is good, but be aware of possible hidden costs. Best Buy should also tell the customers about this so we are not surprised when there is another charge. The whole process was very frustrating. Now that it is working, it is a great product. But, we felt very taken advantage of. In the end, we got what we wanted and it works great.

I believe this is the 5th router I have purchased over many years. This is the first router that was installed without contacting anyone for assistance. I also am totally impressed with the range it covers. We have numerous connected devices. I have not experienced any connection or download problems and I have devices on two floors. I recommend the Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi model R7000 over any I have had. It is simply outstanding!

This is a fast device without spending over $200. Fast with a decent user interface. When warranty runs out I plan to flash with dd-wrt. It's a better more powerful interface. Only complaint is how bright the LED's are. Don't put it in your bedroom unless you're afraid of the dark. Overall it's fast with low latency, and works well with a crowded spectrum. Good range too. Covers both floors and the basement from the ground floor really well.

This thing is a monster! It looks cool because it reminds me of something out of Bruce Wayne's Bat Cave or a stealth fighter. It is out of the box easy to set up. Has a really cool control menu you can make adjustments to on your Mac/PC. And speed.... WOW AMAZING!!! I have 11 devices (iPhones, iPad's, TV's, PS3's, Wii's, etc) drawing on/off from this router at any given time across a 3500 square foot house and this thing is unreal. BUY THIS ROUTER... WELL WORTH THE $$$

The Blackhawk router powers wi-if for the entire house, top to bottom. Glad we bought it. As my technical advisor says, "Don't skimp on the router". We didn't and are better off as a result.
