I had to go out and purchase the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router to replace an Asus router that was starting to give me problems. This model does not represent the latest and greatest in WiFi routers but, then again, it is also priced at a much more reasonable price point. Prior to purchase, after giving it some thought, I decided not to "future proof" my router purchase by purchasing a more expensive model with features/capabilities that aren't that useable in the current day. It didn't make sense for me to pay up to have the ability to access faster wireless spectrum that is non-existent in most products. While Netgear's Nighthawk app and user interface could learn a lesson or two from their competitors at Asus, I have no complaints about the router itself. Quality product at a reasonable price.

In order to have wireless throughout my house, I had to have a wireless extender. With this router, I no longer need the extender and with numerous wireless devices, we used to have constant dropped signals. We have not experienced a single dropped signal with this new router. Absolutely love it - has greatly reduced my frustration.

Always had good experience with netgear products. This wireless router is awesome! I have no problem even getting wireless signal outside while I'm doing yard work.

Initially had problems with router rebooting on its own, but latest firmware appears to have corrected this. Great signal strength in all areas of the house on both 2.4 and 5Ghz bands

If your Netflix, YouTube, etc are slowing down and constantly buffering, get it. Your providers router and modem most likely do t have enough oomph. This does. My wife months later complained it wasn't doing its job (it was her iPhone needing a reboot ;),so I asked when was the last time you saw buffering or interruptions on Netflix. *crickets*. "Reboot your phone honey!"

I needed to improve the wifi signal in my cabin. The Nighhawk dual band did just that, providing excellent range for my 4K TV's. Very happy with the purchase.

My daughter needed a new router to stream games and movies. I have a long history with Netgear and looked at the reviews of their products first. The Nighthawk had excellent reviews and after talking to the guys at Best Buy I bought the router. My daughter hooked it up and set up the encryption easily and told me that she has ZERO lag when playing games and streaming movies.

Installed it to go with my wifi from Timewarner cable and increased the reception. Now all my rooms, garage and outside in yard have great strengths of ave of 75%

The router itself was very easy to install! It literally is plug and play. The range is amazing and I have a 3 story 3200 square foot house and it reaches everywhere! Even out side in my 1 acre lot. Speed is fantastic and the app is amazingly easy. Great product!

It is handling all of my devices without any problems. Before I had to constantly restart my old WiFi and now I haven't had to touch this one since I installed it

This router does a great job of providing wifi (both 2.4 and 5ghz) to a medium sized home when the router is placed in the center of the home.

This is my 2nd time buying this router. Had the first one for a little over 4 years. Netgear makes a reliable & speedy router with great coverage. If you want a well priced reliable modem for your house, then look no further.

Excellent router with great range and speed. Upgraded to a more powerful router for my larger home and yard. I used to drop connectivity from basement to 2nd story with my old device, but have had zero issues since purchasing the NetGear Nighthawk. Installation and setup were extremely easy and I was up and running in minutes.

Increases Internet speed so much it pinned the needle at speed test.net. Also solved bandwidth issue with Lorex wireless security cameras. Worth every penny.

Everything seems to run a bit faster and it definitely fixed a laptop issue. Laptop was not getting data fast enough and would freeze up and this fixed the issue.

I was looking to replace an old and cheap router. This one was recommend by the salesman as being good for future use too. I'm glad I listened. All the devices, phones, laptops, Rokus, work in every room without a problem. In fact I find I can connect too it from down the street. That's also a recommendation to secure it.

I bought this router because the gateway I have from Comcast range is trash. I bought this router and it resolved all of my range issues! GREAT GREAT PRODUCT!!!

This is a great wireless router! We have a 5500 square foot house and anyone in our family can use any electronic device anywhere in the house! Great connection!

The Nighthawk (model R7000) is one of the best dual band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) wireless routers on the market today. The router has a trapezoid design and flared sides and looks very cool with its white lights.The shape is reminiscent of the famed fighter jet of the same name. One setback to the Nighthawk (model R7000) is that in order to obtain excellent speeds on the 5GHz band, you will need to pair it with Netgear's latest mini 11ac A6100 USB adapter in order to enhanced Quality-of-Service (QoS) that shortens the time to buffer and stream videos. Keep in mind that not all of your equipment will be able to obtain high speeds without this adapter. iPads will not be able to use such adapters. However, the Nighthawk is one of the top 802.11ac wireless routers currently on the market for heavy-duty throughput tasks and it gives the user control of the network through the Genie app. It also has a unique network name that is very cool.
