I’ve tried two other extenders in my heavy data use home with 4 professionals; this is the only one to provide the range, bandwidth and speed needed. All told, well worth the price and a good value.

This extender seems to work pretty good. I put it in a logical spot, where all that is needed is an electrical outlet. My wifi unit was upstairs and I wanted good reception 2 floors below. Great product!

The Netgear - Nighthawk X4 was very easy to install. I got great results in extending my wifi signal to the downstairs floor of my home where the signal had been very weak.

Setup is pretty quick and simple, just make sure you do it first while close to your router. After that take and plug in where you need and good to go. Has increased an area of our building with 1-2 bars to a solid 5 bars and can not stream video in that area no problem.

This extender was very easy to setup and its size makes it easy to place. It maintains a locked signal well. Direct line of sight signal strength at 35 ft was a mediocre -55 dBm. Any obstruction like a Sheetrock wall eliminates the 5 GHz signal and drops the 2.8 to -65 dBm making transfer speed drop into the 100kb transfer rates. My internet service is a dedicated 1 Gb line with wired speeds from 850 Mps and higher speeds. For large houses over 3k sq ft go with an Orbi hybrid mesh WiFi System. I finally have nstalled a 1 router 2 satellite system from Netgear and I now have complete coverage of a 5000 sq ft area at wired speeds.

I purchased two of the Nighthawk X4 AC2200 extenders. Still trying to insure that the extenders are providing the additional coverage desired. Although I am not experiencing any problem with wifi connections throughout my home as well as the wireless cam installed outside of my home. Just haven't found how to identify devices connect to the product.

I have a two floors house. I have installed router on the 2nd floor. The internet signals were very weak on the lower level. I got this device to extend my current network.
But it is not what I wanted, it extended the current network but created another network ID with _EXT, so on the lower floor I had to connect to the network ABC_EXT and on the upper level I had to connect to ABC. Sometimes my phone out laptop would get confused between the two networks and won’t connect to any of them quickly and I thought I am connected and I would be using my phone data. It does not actually extends the range of the current network

This Netgear Wi-Fi range extender is easy to set up and install. It is quite effective in extending the Wi-Fi signal even across a significant distance in a concrete and steel building.
I am pleased!

The Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2200 WiFi Range Extender (EX7300) installs in minutes, is one of the fastest plug-in range extenders we've tested, and supports MU-MIMO data streaming.

I purchased this extender because my router is housed in the upstairs media room closet at the rear of the house. The study is downstairs at the front of the home so the signal was very weak. The setup was simple and now the signal in the office is strong.

My xfinity router just couldn't do two floors, so I got the Netgear 2200 and found a sweet spot between the two floors and haven't dropped a signal yet. For me it wasn't speed I needed but a boost in bandwidth. At 5ghz it boosted the signal from "poor" to "good" on my WiFi analytic device.
It saved me from having to purchase a stronger router or other option. Yeah, I like it.

Had to buy this Wi-Fi extender to make my Ring Video Doorbell Pro work the way it was intended. Unless your Gateway (router) is extremely close to your front door, you will need some extender. This one was recommended by the tech at Best Buy and once it was set up correctly, the door bell worked good or as good as could be expected with only .9 MBPS upload and 10 MBPS down load speed. My signal strength is still only coming in at between 56 and 66 RSSI which according to Ring customer service is not the optimum but it gets the job done when using the Ring Pro. The instructions for setting up the Extender are a little too general and may not apply to your application so I had to call customer support to get help. He directed me to their website where the NetGear Genie can be much easier to follow to get it to recognize your router and your doorbell. Why they just didn't put 2 more pages in the booklet to explain this is beyond me. Would have saved everybody a lot of time and money. By the way, this may not solve your problem if you are using the Ring 2 because Ring 2 is not as good internally as the Ring Pro. The Pro has much better "technology" , response time and adjustments than the Ring 2. I am waiting for them to develop a Ring Pro that will run on a battery.

The Nighthawk AC2200 was easy to set up and connect. It only took about 10 min and we were up and running. It improved the signal and range dramatically. We now have signal all over our 2 story 2500 sq ft home as well as the front and back patio.

I am an IT professional. I found this product slightly difficult to set up. It took me 3 tries and almost throwing it out the window! It does, however, work great. My network speeds are the same downstairs with this device as they are upstairs sitting right next to my Comcast router. In the future, I will stick with TP-Link. They just work. Plug and play. Simple and cheaper.
