Easy setup and excellent quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went with this one because I wanted to make sure the range would reach. Our router is on the first level corner of a house and the device I needed internet for was upstairs on the other end in an opposite corner. Basically as far as I could get. Set up the Nighthawk which took ten minutes, took the extender upstairs and plugged it into my computer using a 14 foot ethernet cable and my computer has never had a better and more consistent signal. Any drops I get are from the network and not the signal. Exactly what I needed.

Extends WiFi as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wifi reception in basement and bedroom 40 feet away was non-existent. This effectively solved the problem. The signal strength is adequate at about 70 Mbps, but nothing to rave about. Supports Netflix streaming in the basement red room which was impossible before. Though at times it has to be rebooted to work.

great wifi extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't get wifi in certain parts of house. Other spots would constatnly drop out. Nighthawk x4 extender was very easy to set up and the strength of the wifi in the entire house is great. Even the 5g strength is strong throughout the house. Expensive but worth it.

It’s good not great
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works good, And it has an Ether port that when connected to a device it really boosts the speed up. The WiFi on it’s own though can sometimes drop, you won’t notice if you’re streaming but will if gaming. One of my issues is with Netgear’s app and the lack of options

Great when you need more WiFi range!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after reading all the positive reviews.... if it’s in stock buy it as I had to wait almost 2 weeks. I needed WiFi in a back bedroom that we have a smart TV but the signal was very weak and streaming shows during the pandemic was terrible. This made all the difference and we have full strength of signal now. Directions are straight forward and you shouldn’t have any issue getting setup. Be sure to download the Netgear Nighthawk app and it will walk you through the process. Great purchase!

works, but a little expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd like to say that paying more for this extender is worth it for the extra power - but sadly it works only slightly better than cheaper units I've had. I've even had poor signal in a room 8 feet away - and I'm pretty sure my walls aren't lead lined, so I'm a little lost in how a thin wooden door can cut signal strength. Still, it's a good enough extender overall and works well with the nighthawk I purchased as a main base.

Fast and East to use Wi-Fi range extender
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed 2 outside security camera's and my regular Wi-Fi router wasn't reaching. Followed the quick-setup guide, relocated the extender half-way between router and cameras, and it works like a champ. I like that the extender used my existing network names, it didn't make me choose separate network names (which is an option, but I move around my house a lot I didn't want my devices to jump around between extender and actual router). It's a seamless integration for my home wi-fi network.

Strong Signal but Nothing Connected
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is a bit of a pain to setup. I set it up as a mesh-extender. It also turned out useless in real life. I started out with it 10 feet from my Netgear AC2300 router. I pressed the WPS buttons and both blinked, then the connect status went on. So good thus far. I connected to it and looked at the configuration. It had extended my 5G, but not the 2.4G, so I told it to add that too. It then went into a save mode that never ended. I gave it an hour. The unit was now a brick restarting didn't work, couldn't connect to it, etc. I did a factory reset and did the process again. This time I was able to get through everything and the save worked. I loaded the app on my phone to check signal strength and placed the unit at three different locations in my house. I picked the location that improved the signal the best for the 1/4 of the house with a weak signal, while still maintaining a reasonably strong signal (85%) between the base unit and the extender. I could not get anything to connect through the extender, even though the signal strength was up to 15dB stronger. I turned off the name broadcast on the router and restarted a few units. They then connected through the extender. I reset the router for name broadcast and overnight all the systems reconnected to the main router, even though they were all in places that the extender was 10-15 dB stronger. While this might be a defective unit, I'm not sure since it did provide a very strong signal. I'm returning it.

Did exactly what I needed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed something that would boost my wireless signal strength so I could use my laptop to go online sitting in my favorite patio chair outside. I placed the unit midway between my wireless router and the targeted area and my signal strength went from next to nothing to FULL signal strength. The signal strength on my television satellite receiver also went from 30 to 85. It was a little on the expensive side (for me anyway) but I guess the old saying is true: You get what you pay for. Absolutely no complaints here.

Netgear Nightwhawk Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it is working now but when we first plugged it into the wall outlet it was interfering and blocking the back side of the house. We finally unplugged it and used and extension cord to put it up high. Since we did this it seems to be working better.
