When you move around network transition from mainarouter to extender is not seamless. Looks like it also throttles speed. Speed what you get while on main counter is definitely different from extender

Good product when used as intended

Tried to extend from apartment down to the detached garage. Speeds were ok. This AC2200 works better in a closed enviroment.

Well worth the cost - improves WIFI speed

I live in a high rise condo building and the routers are placed in the entry closet since that’s where internet wires are. I was not able to get a good signal because of the wall between router and TVs and other devices. With the Nighthawk x4 dual band WIFI range extender, the speed of internet and streaming devices is fast with no buffering.

Great, not fro Verizon

Does not work with Verizon Fios newest Router and Gigabit Connection. Verizon is money hungry and has blocked the extension capability unless using their own wifi extenders!
