I spoke with the IT guy at work and explained to him where the modem/router was in my landlords house and where I was and needed wifi signal. There was only one bar, obviously not enough strenght. He recommended this device and said, "you won't regret it". He was right.

An ez plug and play way to quickly extend your wifi reach-- call it the same name as your existing wifi network or a separate extension name.

This is an awesome Wifi range extender! I installed online security cams outside my house, but my regular wifi signal wasn't strong enough, so I gave this a try and it did the trick perfectly. Plus I can now stay connected to my wifi from way outside my house. Setup is super simple too!

My house evidently has led walls so I needed a WIFI extender and this puppy gets the job done. Washer needs WIFI? Done. Dryer? also done. All my Nest cameras scattered around my property. Guess what? Done.

This is a good stand alone, but it doesn't play well with others. If you need more than one device for your coverage you'll need a mesh.

I used this as a WiFi extender to try to bring WiFi in a less accessible location of the house. It worked for a short while and then couldn’t keep the connection. Thinking it might be because of the WiFi itself though rather than the extender. Just wish that it would be stronger considering the price.

I went from 2 to 5 bars on 5G network in my basement, so it definitely helped. I would take 1/2 a star away because I've noticed that I have sometimes need to reconnect to the network when I move from one floor to another.

We was needing something to help extend our WIFI range. The friendly and helpful staff at Best Buy pointed us in the right direction by telling us about this product. It was so simply to set up, and it fixed our problem promptly. Thank You Best Buy

I was hoping that this extender would allow me to do roaming inside my house, automatically switching between whichever Netgear router is nearer (or stronger), but it's not doing that. At any rate, it does help when using a computer or tablet at the other end of the house (by connecting directly to it). It also seems to cause some weird packet transmissions on my internal network. And sometimes it just goes to sleep even when I am trying to use it.

My new router was in the basement and this extender has helped with the signal on the 3rd floor.

Worked for what I needed it for on occasion, but was too inconsistent for my liking. Seemed to bog down my WiFi at times. Returned it after a week.

I live in a large house and could not get WiFi on one end of my home, even after purchasing a more powerful router. I decided to purchase the extender instead of another router. The extender works perfectly! You have to really follow the setup directions to the full extent.

Works sometimes and sometimes doesn’t work. I would not buy do better getting a closer routers

Was compatible with my Xfinity Gateway modem. Just followed the installation instructions. Tried a few different placements in the house, testing upload and download speeds, before I found the best location for the rooms upstairs.

No matter how I tried, this system would not permit wireless devices to connect to it. It works fine as a way-point but it will not function as a WiFi range extender. As a result, it stays attached to my wireless router and just acts as a hub. For me, I try 2 of them but no luck. Both returned to Best Buy for refund.

Looking for something to expand my wifi signal outside . This worked perfect. We tried several different ones and this one - far exceeded the others .

Needed to boost the wifi signal to the other end of my house. This helped get it where I needed.

Spotty coverage. Occasionally has an OK signal. I like it because I can hard wire my devices.

Works great! Had low coverage on one floor, one side of the house. This little guy isn’t an eye sore and took care of the problem. It even has a direct connect. Works good for me!
