I seemed to have better reception with this being plugged in downstairs. A little expensive but works.

We bought this to extend our home wireless service, and it works great. We primarily wanted to make sure we had a solid wireless signal in the family room for our smart tv and this thing worked great.

Can't really write a good review. My internet isn't the greatest to begin with, so therefore, any booster is not going to work as it should. Would not recommend any kind of booster/extender if your internet is not good.

First of this netgear ac2200 nighthawk works good when it wants to. I hope there's a firmware that can stop this from crashing. I bought this device to get stronger range from my R7300 netgear router. Those who play online beware of being continually kicked out from lag download speed. I hate while playing Gaming online (Madden 17) it starts to show true lag and causes me being kicked out. First of this extender is about 10ft away from my r7300 which shouldn't be a problem. When testing the ping and download speeds using speed test. At times it works great then out of nowhere (Randy Orton) is just crashes! Netgear you disappoint me!

Very good range extender. Set up is a breeze. From time to time it seems to go out, but not too often.

I have used a number of range extenders with varying success, this one is head and shoulders above the rest and should be at this price.

This extender works but i needed something that would be like an additional router.

Extends an average distance. Would be better if you didn’t have to choose the extended.

This extender does a great job for our 2800 sq ft home in FL. Reception is consistent throughout the house.

Solved our outdoor need for WiFi, we have a large house and placement of TV indoors didn’t leave us with much reception in backyard

The NETGEAR - AC2200-Nighthawk X4 WiFi Range Extender does a good job at its intended purpose.

The Nighthawk X4 is a great extender...my entire house and detached garage now have excellent WIFI coverage. Costs a little more? Yes...worth it? Definitely!

I bought this off the strength of a few good reviews because I needed my coverage extended to a room that doesn't recieved good signal for whatever reason. Unfortunately, I thought using this would be a big boost but it wasn't. I had to return it because there was no real change in the signal to that room.

Struggled a little with set up. But overall, got it done. Seems to be working fine.

purchased this unit after suffering with another netgear older model. the older model kept kicking me off and constantly needed to be reset. this one works great and i haven't had a single issue.

Replaced an older unit, so far so good. I do still have some dead spots in my house, but recently bought a repeater and everything is fine now...

Good product. Had difficulty getting the wireless connected. Just used a cable to connect to router.

The Extender was very easy to set up and immediately extended my Wi-Fi to the whole house (5,000+ sqft) and the immediate outdoor perimeter. No problems since installing 45 days ago, Highly recommend.

Replaced older Netgear extender to get a bit more bandwidth in the back of the house. 15 min to configure, switched out and nearly twice the bandwidth.
